Choose the legend that's right for you

In the Apex arena, all participants are on an equal footing, and all legends have approximately the same strength, speed, and firepower. Heroes are unique because of their abilities, so pick a legend whose play style suits you best and will be useful to your squad.

Explore the arena

Kings Canyon, the map where all Apex matches take place, is a huge sandbox full of abandoned military fortifications that are gradually swallowed up by thriving plants. There are many types of environments presented here: an open field, an abandoned camp in the middle of a swamp, old fortifications in a vast desert ... It is very important to study all these places and remember where the most loot is and the battles are most active.

When the ring starts to narrow, you won't regret it. As it should be in any "royal battle", the arena is surrounded by a huge ring, which gradually narrows during the match. You can’t linger: you need to have time to collect all the necessary items before it starts to shrink. With every second spent outside the ring, you take more and more damage. Good knowledge of the terrain will help you make quick decisions and easily reach your intended goals.

Look for the best, but don't risk your head

Loot of different categories appears in different zones of the map. The higher the level of your weapons and equipment, the more powerful they are - and the higher your chances of surviving until the end of the match. In some places, high-level loot constantly appears, so there will always be fierce battles there. However, the most "delicious" rewards are waiting for you in the landing ships, which regularly land at random points on the map. The one who gets to the cargo first will receive the most powerful weapon in the game.

At the start of a match, all players have neither armor nor weapons, so it's up to your squad to decide whether or not to fight for high-level caches. Perhaps the game is not worth the candle. Where are these hiding places? This is for you to find out on your own.

Respawn and resurrect allies

A well-coordinated squad can do what even the strongest loner is incapable of - resurrect fallen friends. Having exhausted health points, you do not die immediately, but first go into the state of a seriously wounded fighter. If you are killed before the allies arrive, then they have one last chance to revive you.

Each legend has a banner with them, which remains at the place of death of the hero. An ally can pick it up and bring it to the beacon of rebirth to bring the fallen back to life. This is a rather dangerous business: the respawn process takes some time, and the revived player appears on the battlefield without armor and weapons. However, successfully resurrecting an ally can help the team turn the tide in their favor, so don't miss the opportunity to do so.

Use towers, hot zones and other objects to your advantage

Kings Canyon contains many different objects that can be used to gain an advantage over enemies. Towers will allow you to take off into the air and fly to your chosen place faster than if you got there on foot. If you reach the randomly located hot zone map first, you will be rewarded with a large amount of high-level loot. Resurrection beacons will help resurrect fallen allies.

Learn to use these objects wisely and they will help you get out of a difficult situation or take your enemies by surprise. Sometimes these things radically change the strategy of the game. An extra barrel never hurts, especially when its owner has been resurrected from the dead.

Everything has a use

You never know where you'll be lucky, so be sure to search all the caches that catch your eye. Scattered throughout the arena are body armor pieces, weapon mods, backpack upgrades that allow you to carry more items, and other useful items of equipment. If the weapon or equipment you found is better than the current one, you will receive a notification about it. This will help you not overload your inventory with low-level loot. Thus, you will collect only the items you need at the moment.

You and your allies can tell each other where useful items are. The notification also displays the item's level, so you'll be able to loot powerful weapons or equipment that you might not have seen at all if it wasn't for the help of an ally. Also, don't forget to search the bodies of fallen enemies. When they die, they leave behind a cache full of very useful loot. Keep an eye out: even one piece of high-level armor can save your life.
