Mort Dinner with Ricandra (season 5 episode 1)

Escaping from a planet filled with monsters, Morty carries an injured grandfather to a dilapidated ship, which barely escapes from the chase. Landing on Earth with a rudder torn off and faulty engines, he calls Jessica to confess to her that he likes her before he dies. And unexpectedly receives an invitation to watch a movie together tonight. Inspired, Morty fixes the steering wheel and lands the ship in the ocean. But it turns out that by doing so, he accidentally violated the agreement between Rick and Mr. Nimbus, the ruler of the earth's oceans and his sworn enemy.

The Smith family is waiting for Mr. Nimbus for dinner. And Summer at this time plans to dive into the Mariana Trench to get the forbidden shell that gives Mr. Nimbus power.

Rick opens a portal to another dimension, where time passes much faster, and puts in a couple of crates of wine so they'll be XNUMX years old by dinner. Jessica arrives with the Nimbus at the Smiths' house. Morty escorts her to the living room. Hearing about the wine, she asks Morty to bring her a bottle. But when Morty goes to another dimension for wine, a local resident volunteers to help him. Returning back a minute later, he discovers that many years have passed, and his pregnant wife has died, and his son has grown up and vowed to avenge her. He kills his father, but he manages to tell about Morty, who has yet to return. The goal of catching Morty becomes the goal of an entire civilization, which is improving every decade. At some point, a messenger from there breaks into the Smiths' house and takes Jessica with him.

Morty, who went after her, is captured while Rick and Nimbus insult each other. Rick, who tries to save them, is also captured by a hostile civilization, tech-savvy enough to resist him. But Mr. Nimbus appears and saves everyone. Back at Rick's garage, they decide to be best friends when Summer shows up with a sink. Having figured out Rick's plan, Nimbus goes berserk. He beats Rick and then calls the police and orders him to be thrown into jail.

Mortality (episode 2)

The second episode of season 5 of Rick and Morty, entitled "Mortality", begins with Rick and his family having a regular family dinner. Jerry reveals that he is going to an interview, and Rick and Morty want to kill the Christian God. At that moment, an alien resembling a squid appears and shoots the whole family.

The action moves to the Smith family's other home, where Rick is notified that a copy of the family has been murdered. Rick takes the family away and on the way reveals that he made copies of them.

As the story progresses, it becomes clear that the various copies of the Smith family have created more copies, and the squid-like aliens are hunting them all.

Rick and his family ambush by hiding in another copy family's house. And they find out that other Smiths are actually wearing squid costumes. The copies that Rick created were made by other copies, and the number of such fake families is unknown to anyone. A war breaks out between them, although some copies turn out to be more friendly and even save one family from extermination by the monsters that other copies have turned into.

Finally, one of the Ricks calls everyone else to fight outside their house.

Near the end of the series, only two families remain. They fight until only one version of Rick, Jerry, Beth, Summer, and Morty is left. However, among all this chaos, no one knows if they are real or copies. A tiny man appears out of nowhere with a target on his back and shoots at them all.

The scene changes to show that Rick and the Smiths are returning from space travel. Space Beth is with them too. At this point, Rick receives a notification about the death of the copy family. The moment confirms that the real family was outside the Earth all the time.

A Convenient Death for Rick (Episode 3)

The episode begins with Rick and Morty getting caught in acid rain. They are rescued by the superhero Planetina. Morty meets her and they spend time together. Later at the Smith house, Morty tells his family about Planetine and insists on going to the dangerous wildfire to meet her. Beth is against this idea.

Summer is going through a breakup with a guy and Rick wants to cheer her up. Rick and Summer decide to visit three planets about to be destroyed and throw an apocalypse party for the occasion. Their plan is to have meaningless sex without tying a serious relationship.

Morty and Planetina start dating, but this doesn't sit well with her bosses. Then Morty kills the people who control Planetina and gets the rings that summon it. He asks Beth if Planetina can move in with them. Beth refuses as she does not approve of their relationship, as Planetina is much older than her son.

On one of the planets, Rick becomes attached to an alien named Daphne and saves her from death. Summer gets mad at Rick for breaking the rules they made together. On the planet, which was waiting for a collision with an asteroid, she explodes a block flying to the surface, thereby saving the inhabitants. They are not at all happy about this, and Daphne, for whom this means the end of the adventure, leaves Rick. On the ship, on the way home, grandfather and granddaughter reconcile.

Planetina kills several hundred miners in the name of saving the planet. Morty is shocked and confused. The superheroine defends herself by saying that these people voted for a government that contributes to the slow death of the planet. Morty claims that it was wrong of her to kill these people. He tells her that he can no longer love her. As Planetina leaves, Morty sobs and Beth consoles him.

In the end, Morty and Planetina break up. In the episode, it is seen that Morty is in a serious and mature relationship with a woman who is much older than him. Although Morty was still a child, he is now beginning to understand the baggage a person brings to a relationship. Despite her love for Morty, Planetina cares more about the planet and she becomes a radical conservationist. This can be seen as a natural development in a relationship where aspects of your partner that you find attractive become unbearable. Morty's romance with Planetina ends in tragedy.

Addiction Spray (Episode 4)

The fourth episode of the fifth season of Rick and Morty is called "Rick and Morty Spray" and is a reference to the popular action movie of the 90s "Independence Day".

In this episode, Beth and Morty spend some time together, but not necessarily by mutual agreement. Morty is likely to get bored at Beth's job, and his curiosity about the place can lead to funny and awkward moments.

Meanwhile, Rick will pull off his usual scientific genius shenanigans and end up creating new monsters in his lab. The monsters will escape from custody and cause massive destruction throughout the country.

This will lead to the appearance of Rick's nemesis, the President of the United States. The two of them may have to work together to neutralize the monster threat. The new series will be devoted to patriotism and will touch upon political topics. There may also be some tense emotional moments in the background of the outbreak of war.
