Red Dead Redemption 2: The Best of GTA 5, Max Payne 3, etc. in one vial
Red Dead Redemption 2 is Rockstar's most ambitious game to date. The studio has almost 20 years of experience and almost 30 successful games under its belt. It became clear that the studio was planning a breakthrough by making its biggest game yet. Eight Rockstar divisions around the world put the best of eight different games into the project.
For example, the physical health mechanic from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas appears in Red Dead Redemption 2, and it's expanded to affect your character's own personal hygiene. Weapon Control RDR2 emulates Max Payne 3, allowing the character to carry as many weapons as they can physically hold with their hands and as many as they can holster. And even Bully's NPC interaction is present, but of course improved, and allows you to react to the characters in different ways depending on the situation.
With so much game stuff crammed into the upcoming open-world adventure, it looks like the title will be the true culmination of everything Rockstar has known and achieved.
Red Dead Redemption 2 launches October 26 on PS4 and Xbox One. Pre-orders are available now at select retailers and online. There is also some additional content tied to specific platforms and synchronized exclusive DLC.
