On March 27, Epic Games made many changes to its popular title Fortnite Battle Royale, content update v8.20. While many members of the Fortnite community were unhappy with the removal of the health and materials mechanic from public play modes, one of the positive additions seen by the community was the introduction of new health regeneration items that contain bananas, coconuts, and peppers. If you're curious about what Fortnite's new food items do and where you can find them on the map, be sure to check out the information below.
These new items can be found in locations throughout the battle royale map and provide health and other bonuses to players who consume them. You can find all the benefits that the new content items from the v8.20 update bring to players below.
- bananas – grants 5 health units when consumed
- Coconut – Gives 5 points of effective health in a short time. Will replenish the player's shield if he is at full health.
- Peppers – instantly grants 5 health points and increases the player’s movement speed by 20% for 10 seconds.
Fortnite Banana, Coconut, and Pepper Locations
Bananas, coconuts, and peppers can be found in various locations in the Battle Royale game environment. While Bananas and Peppers can be found locally in the same way as Apples, Coconuts are mined and can only be acquired by damaging palm trees. Below you can find all areas of the map where these new Fortnite Forage items are located:

- Coconut – Tropical and Desert biomes
- Peppers – Desert Biome
