Walkthrough Act I: Steel Faith Diablo 4

As soon as the prologue in Kyovashad is completed, Diablo 4 opens its doors so you can leave the city and explore more of Sanctuary, as well as continue the main storyline. Act 1: Steel Faith contains as many as 19 quests for you to complete, and our page will guide you through each one to help you navigate this perilous journey under the banner of light.

Bad news

In the north of the city, we enter the Cathedral of Light. Joseph is already here, he is receiving communion from the Reverend Mother Prava. We learn that they planned to send Lorat, but now they will send us to Elesna in search of the knight Vigo. We take Vigo's report from the table.

Faded glory

We leave the city to the east. On the plains we meet wolves, bears, birds, skeletons and fallen creatures. An event occurs in the central clearing: you need to reflect the waves of darkness for a minute. Reward: obol currency, which can be spent at merchants for rare items. In the southern settlement of Elesna, we talk with Captain Ankers.

Knight and magpie

We continue our way to the mines, passing by skeleton crossbowmen and meeting a camp of soldiers. At the entrance to the mine we see the knight Vigo and the girl Neirella, who is looking for her missing mother. The knight lets us through, but inside the elevator is broken, and we will have to bypass it. On the way we are disturbed by skeletons.

Home

In the cursed mines, we come to a locked door, and a girl slips in beside her and starts unlocking the door from behind. We need to defend ourselves from the skeletons for a few minutes. Then there are landslides in our path, and we wait for them to pass in order to run in time.

At the bottom

As soon as we are on the other side, we speak with Vigo. He will explain that the tunnels are closed and they are trapped without the Ore Elevator, but Narell will say that he sees Lilith and run away! We follow her, catch up and talk.

We see a statue of Lilith. We go down the stairs. We release the lift mechanism from the body, and the lift turns on.

Follow her

After the lift is repaired, we speak with Vigo. He will explain that we need reinforcements, but the noise from the nearest gate will drown him out. Follow Neirell to the giant gate of Kasama to check what happened.

Behind the stone door, all the knights died, and we are talking with the dying Grendan. If we ask him who did it, he will explain that it was one of the women that Vigo sent with them, but she was not a person ... it turns out it was Lilith.

Vigo sends for reinforcements. We jump over the abyss, go down even lower and inspect the red spot. We see a flashback of how Lilith attracted Venard's mother to her.

After that is done, continue climbing the steps forward and through the Ancient Gate. The Vile Horde will be waiting on the other side, so get ready to fight. As soon as the path is cleared, we study inscriptions on the wall near the doorway for more information about Lilith. There will be more inscriptions to come.

Run away from exploding monsters. In the west we look at the Black Lake. In the search area, we go down the right wall and find the doors.

Storming the gate

In front of the red gate, another memory appears: Lilith leads Venard to her son Rathma, the first necromancer. Detachments of demons and shamans are waiting for us outside the gates. We first immediately take on the shamans. We clear all tunnels.

At the next red gate, a mini-boss demon awaits us and another memory.

Twilight Clusters. Large monsters, explosive enemies and succubi await us outside the gates. We reach a locked door, and Nyirella's girl starts to open it with magic, and we need to defend ourselves for 45 seconds.

The price of knowledge

We find ourselves on the Sorrowful Shore. We find Venard on a large platform where she performed a bloody ritual. She has already led Lilith across the lake and refuses to leave, so we join the fray.

How to defeat the Boss: Venard?

To defeat Venard, you will need strategy and focus. Venard is a difficult boss and you will need the following approach:

1. Focus on Demon Servants: Venard summons Hell Spawn during battle. Your priority is to destroy these servants in order to weaken her defenses and gain an advantage.
2. Use Ranged: If you have a ranged weapon, use it to deal damage to Hell Spawn from afar. This will allow you to avoid their attacks and increase your chances of success.
3. Be prepared to dodge: Venard will shoot projectiles at you from behind the barrier. Be prepared to dodge these attacks as you move across the battlefield and avoid the fire lines.
4. Prioritize enemies: During the battle, Venard will summon different types of demons. Identify the most dangerous enemies and focus on eliminating them. Kill them one by one so you don't get overwhelmed.
5. Patience and Strategy: The battle with Venard will be a long one and you need to stay calm and stay strategic. Take your time and plan your actions to cope with each stage of the battle.
6. Take advantage of opportunities to rest: If you have the opportunity to rest or regenerate resources, take advantage of this to be in the best shape to continue the battle.

When you deal enough damage and destroy all the demons, Venard will be defeated and you will receive various rewards for your efforts.

When we are victorious, Nirella is left to mourn her mother.

Angel Inarius Quests

Path of light

We teleport back to the city, in the cathedral we speak with Joseph. We learn that the reverend went to Kor Valar, we need to catch up with her there. In the city, you can improve weapons, health potions.

Kor Valar

Upon entering Kor Valar, you will first see Vigo by the fire. Chat with him and he will explain that he told Prava about Venard and says he will come with you to talk to her.

Far to the northeast we go through the ice rift, we will find the Shelter of the Bear tribe. We pass to the gates of the castle. Upon entering Kor Valar, you will first see Vigo by the fire. Chat with him and he will explain that he mourns the dead knights and the Right of Venard. Together we go to the Reverend Mother Prava. She will send us to the Alabaster Monastery to purify her spirit.

Pilgrimage

Heading south from the castle, we meet Vigo, who provides us with more information about our next move. As we continue our journey, we descend through the icy cliffs, encountering monsters from the Ice Clan who are trying to block our path.

Finally, we reach the top, where we find an altar. Using it, we take an idol, but at the same time we temporarily weaken our characteristics. In this state, we go to the center of the rocks, where the Altar of Martyrdom is located, and read the “message to the sufferer”. This is an important ritual action that connects us with the spirits of those who suffer.

Then we carry the idol further to the second altar and read the “message to the seeker”. This message is intended to guide us and give us hints for our further path. As we progress, we come across a mini-boss near the third altar, which presents a certain difficulty, but manage it. After defeating the mini-boss, we read “message to the penitent“, which brings us additional wisdom and strength.

Finally, we collect the idol and carry it back to the Alabaster Monastery, where it will be used for further rituals and ceremonies. This idol is essential to our mission and will accompany us in our future exploits.

Get out of the way:

Encounter with dangers and a new direction

Continuing our journey, we find ourselves in a forest where we are attacked by werewolves and tree monsters. As we fight them, we realize that our current path may be too dangerous and needs to change. In the search area called “Mistral Forest”, we decide to go to the northern cul-de-sac and enter a cave called “The Winding Path”.

Veil of the Horadrim:

Inside the cave, we again encounter tree monsters and angry spirits who are trying to stop our progress. However, moving through the labyrinth, we go to the northwest and meet a bloodied beast, which turns out to be our true ally. He tells us about his previous participation in our journey and promises to help us further in our fight against Lilith.

With the help of the wolf, we pass through the next portal, which instantly transports us to Neirella. Together with her, we begin to clear the Glade in the forest and carefully examine the three-faced statue, which may contain key information for our upcoming task.

Inexperienced student:

Horadrim vault exploration and boss fight

Together with Nyirella, we penetrate the Horadrim vault. On our way, we find a door sealed with a seal, and go around it on the right, where we find and take the book. With the help of her spells, Nirella will be able to open the doors in front of us, and we will search all the rooms of the vault.

In the end, we enter into a fight with a boss named Devil, the herald of Lilith. While fighting this demon in a circular hall, we have to dodge red projectiles and attacks that deal damage over a wide area. After a tense battle, we finally defeat the Devil and take back the book called "Power over Death: Rathma's Theories", which we take to Neirella.

Passage to the Other World: Resurrection and Blood Ritual

We return to the Black Lake in the cave and Nirella uses the book to revive her mother. Venard, Neirella's assistant, helps us perform the blood ritual necessary for our transition to another world and the persecution of Lilith.

Descent: Encounter with the Ghost and Battle with Lilith's Elegy

During our descent, we meet the ghostly incarnation of Rathma, who continues to tell us his prophecy. We continue to explore the labyrinth, fighting against ghoul enemies, and destroy four tumors of hatred that open new bloody doors for us.

Upon reaching the main gate, we listen to dialogues between an angel and a ghost, revealing some secrets. We then enter the Sanctuary of Equilibrium, where a battle with Lilith's Elegy awaits us. It is a powerful demon that creates acid pits on the floor and emits streams of acid from side to side. In order to survive, we seek shelter under the protective dome of the knight, who is an unexpected ally who comes to our aid. After a fierce battle, we finally defeat Lilith and see that the knight who helped us turns out to be Vigo, who is sacrificed in the name of light. We receive Vigo's protective amulet as a token of his selfless determination.

In the sanctuary, we relive the memory of how Lilith appeared in front of the body of Rathma and extracted the key to the gates of hell from his staff

Light's Resolve: Return to Neirella

We return to Neyrella to inform her that Lilith has temporarily left. We tell her about our latest adventures, about the victory over the Devil and Lilith's Elegy, as well as about the sacrifice of Vigo, who helped us in the battles. Nirella expresses her sadness and gratitude to Vigo for his bravery.

Together we discuss the next step in our journey. We decide that our main goal should be to find the key to the gates of hell, which Lilith extracted from Rathma's staff. Knowing that this is a key artifact that will allow Lilith to carry out her dark plans, we realize the need to return it.

Nirella offers to use her knowledge and magical abilities to investigate and decipher the information from the found book "Power over death: Rathma's theories." She hopes these notes contain clues as to where the gates of hell might be and how to open them.

Knowing that time is against us, we set off again, determined to find the key and stop Lilith before she can carry out her dark plans. Together with Neirella, we are ready to overcome all obstacles and meet all challenges in order to bring the world back to light and save it from the darkness of Lilith.
