Complete walkthrough of the Stronghold mission

Zoom in on the gas station near the bridge. Scan for threats in the area.

Cover the ground crew as they retreat to the restaurant.

Shoot at the enemies on the hill overlooking the city. Continue shelling reinforcements coming from the east. Be sure to take out the enemies with the RPG on the rooftops.

Take the mortars to the football field in the southwestern part of the area. Fire on more reinforcements coming from the southwest. If you find it difficult to spot enemies due to all cover, you can switch to thermal sightsto make them easier to see.

Use flares immediately when it appears incoming missile warning. Take out the missile teams right after that to eliminate the threats.

Survive more waves of enemies. You can instantly destroy large groups of enemies using 40mm guns.

Destroy the bridge when enemy vehicles cross it to make it safe for the ground team to escape.

How to complete Stronghold mission on Realism difficulty

Use the 40mm cannon on swarms of enemies

40mm cannon can destroy large groups of enemies with one explosion. The reload time is fast and the overall damage of this weapon is excellent, making it a viable weapon when Task Force 141 is about to be overrun.

Using the 25mm cannon on them is a slower process since the blast radius is small.

Use the 25mm cannon to eliminate the RPG

Using high rate of fire 25 mm gun, you can quickly kill the enemy RPGs that are scattered across the different rooftops at the start of the ambush.

Use of LTM missiles on heavy armored vehicles

The LTM missile can shoot down any heavy armored vehicles, including any enemies surrounding her. Note that you can only fire one shot at a time as the weapon takes a fair amount of time to reload.

One good tip is to wait until any approaching vehicles will stopand then fire missiles at them. Most of the vehicles in this mission usually arrive in twos, so it might be best to target the gap between them to disable them at the same time.

Watch out for incoming missiles

The only real threat to this mission are homing missiles, which will constantly fire on your aircraft. Pay attention to the aircraft alarm or your squad's radio communication to be notified of this.
