Epic Games has announced a new Fortnite update v16.40 that will be released on May 11th. Here are the patch notes and everything else you need to know.
Fortnite season 17 is less than a month away. This means we still have time for a couple more new Fortnite updates in Season 6. The last major update was two weeks ago, Version 16.30. As with other updates this season, there isn't much new content.
Each major update brings players new Tower quests. Usually, exotic weapons are added, and in rare cases, weapons that can be found in a regular loot pool. Last week, Epic decided to ditch the Infantry Rifle and Tactical Shotgun to keep the loot stock fresh.
Description of v16.40 Fortnite update
In the new update, we will get another exotic weapon. A Fortnite Twitter account announced that the Exotic Marksman Six Shooter weapon will be available with today's update.
There are also new summer themed creative additions, and they've hinted that Wild Weeks 2 will be based around fishing. The exotic shotgun "The Dub" will also be placed in storage as part of the v16.40 update.
