July 23 CS:GO Update Adds New Mutiny and Swamp Maps

Valve is making changes to CS:GO again. The July 23rd patch added two new maps, Mutiny and Swamp, replacing Chlorine and Jungle. He also made some small tweaks to decoy grenades and the controversial Trusted mode.

patch

Hoping for a new operation after cryptic tweets from a CS:GO account on last week? Unfortunately, this did not appear in the July 23rd update. However, there are some things to worry about.

The update added two new cards to the official roster and they are Mutiny and Swamp. Two cards have also been removed to match the required number. In addition, Decoy Grenades have been redesigned and Trusted Mode has received another update.

New Mutiny and Swamp maps added to the official roster

Mutiny and Swamp have entered the official roster in CS:GO, replacing Chlorine and Jungle. These two cards will be active in Casual, Death Match and Screamage but not Competitive.

В March 2020 Mutini took third place in an exotic Mapcore contest, in which added to the game cards of the winner and prize-winner Anubis and Chlorine. Mutiny will now replace second place on the list, albeit only four months after its inclusion.

It's a very mid-centric map with routes to A, B and both spawns right through the middle. It also places great emphasis on verticality, with control of high and low ground being key to control of bombing sites.

The swamp, on the other hand, is very aptly named. The map is very wet, very flat and quite open. Based on the outskirts of Louisiana, the map forces players to navigate open water by diving for cover.

Decoy grenades no longer damage teammates

In the game plan, there was a small update for Deco grenades - especially baits. The $50 roll option will no longer damage teammates by default.

While this seems like a pointless change, it actually has a huge impact on one thing. Players can deliberately kill themselves with decoy grenades thrown by their allies if the player on the mountain has enough health.

If this happened multiple times, the player who threw the Decoy would be kicked out. Making decoy grenades no longer deal damage now removes this team-kill method from CS:GO.

Grenades thrown by teammates who disconnect or switch teams have also been adjusted to deliver the correct amount of damage.

Trusted Mode also received an update to give players a "compatibility" option, allowing them to run third-party software after a full system startup. All previous options to run in trusted mode have also been reset.

you can find full details on the CS:GO patch on July 23 below.
