Rick and Mort was brought to the world of video games by Adult Swim, which is reflected in the 17-minute short film about the journey of heroes to the core of the gaming system.
Adult Swim has released a 17-minute Rick and Morty short that takes mad scientist Rick Sanchez and his grandson Morty into the world of video games. In the story, Rick and Morty are trying to get to the core of the game system and fix it.
The short film itself is stylized as a pixel retro platformer. Characters go through various levels and fight bosses. The levels contain various references to the animated series and popular games.
The short was created by Australian animator Paul Robertson.
The second trailer for Season 5 of Rick and Morty has also been released. The premiere will take place on June 20 this year.
