Fortnite leak reveals OG Mode won't include Chapter 6's new movement mechanics
According to the latest Fortnite leaks, Chapter OG may not include the new movement mechanics being added in Chapter 6 Season 1. Veteran FN Leaks @ChinaBR shared information on social media X, having received it from another liquorist, @zatheo_. From what we know, Epic Games wants to keep the OG mode as close to the original as possible.

Fortnite Leak Suggests OG Mode Will Support Four Movement Types
Based on the details shared @zatheo_, Chapter OG will feature four types of movement. These were not present in the original Chapter 1, but have become a very popular feature in the game. So, they will be added to improve mobility and tactical movement in general. Here is a list of the movement mechanics that will be present, according to leaks:
- Tactical Sprint
- Clambering
- Door Bashing
- Sliding
Additionally, @ChinaBR clarified that the new move types added in Chapter 6 Season 1 will not be included in the OG mode. This means that Ledge Jump, Roll Landing, Wall Kick, and Wall Scramble will not be implemented.
This makes sense, as the OG mode aims to evoke nostalgia and allow players to relive the golden days of 2017. Limiting some mechanics seems quite reasonable.
Will Fortnite Chapter OG use new movement animations?
It is currently unclear whether the OG mode will use the new animations added in Chapter 6 or whether the old ones will be used. Then again, since the OG mode is meant to be a throwback to the golden days of 2017, the old ones will likely be used.
However, it is expected that Epic Games will share a lot of information regarding Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 1 before its launch on December 6, 2024. The developers may also soon share an official list of the OG weapons that are returning.
