Fortnite Leak Hints At 5v5 First Person Mode Coming Soon
According to the latest Fortnite leaks, a 5v5 first-person mode is likely to arrive sometime in Chapter 6. The information was exclusively shared by a veteran leaker ChinaBRGiven its reputation for leaks and the fact that the first-person mode has officially been made available to UEFN Creators, this is practically a confirmation.
Here's more information about this Fortnite leak and what you can expect from it.
5v5 First Person Mode Likely Coming to Chapter 6 Season 1, Fortnite Leaks Suggest
Based on the information available, 5v5 may be a first-person only mode. This is because the first-person mode is still in the experimental phase, and switching cameras mid-match may not be feasible. That said, the upcoming 5v5 mode may be limited to simple team elimination. The team that secures the most eliminations within a certain time limit will win the round.
As for the arsenal, there is no indication of what weapons may be featured. Epic Games may feature weapons that do not overlap with other cosmetics and/or outfits to ensure the mode runs smoothly.
In terms of experience, just like all other modes, it will likely give some experience as you play, but there may not be any quests/tasks for players to complete. That being said, eliminations may make up the bulk of the experience that can be earned. This may work much like Reload, allowing players to quickly respawn until the timer starts or until the resurrections run out.
When can 5v5 first person mode be launched?
Without a specific time frame, it’s unclear when this mode might launch. However, it’s reported to likely be sometime after the OG Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 1 launches on December 6, 2024, and while Winterfest 2024 is in full swing. It’s possible the mode could launch in January 2025 to ring in the New Year. Leaks will provide an update when more information becomes available.
