Epic Games has just made some major changes and balance changes to popular weapons in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 as part of the latest patch. The update brought changes to assault rifles, SMGs, and some of the mythic weapons introduced in this season of Demon Hunters.
Here's everything you need to know about the weapon balance changes coming to Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 Battle Royale and Zero Building.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 Gets Balancing for Popular Weapons and Mythic Items
The latest Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 patch brought a number of changes to the balance of properties and stats of certain weapons, impacting gameplay for players who rely on them.
While Epic Games has pointed out the changes, data mined from the patch files by legacy leakers and data miners like @ShiinaBR, @Hypex and others have provided stats on fire rate, damage, and reload times.
Note: Weapon stats are data mined and are subject to change at Epic Games' sole discretion.
As part of the update, the Typhoon Sword deals 28 PV damage to players instead of 30, with a decrease of two hitpoints. In addition, the Golo AR received a nerf to its rate of fire and reload speed. From 150/161/166/178/183/194 PV, it changed to 140/151/156/166/172/182 PV, and also decreased its rate of fire and reload speed by 6% and 4%, respectively.
This balancing is also affected by the weapons introduced in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1. The Oni Shotgun fires 8% faster, while the Double-Barrel Shotgun and Coated SMG reload 5% faster. As for the AR Fury, it now has a 2% faster reload speed. These changes may impact how fans of this popular weapon use it in-game while competing to complete the season's Battle Pass.
