Ubisoft Announces FAR CRY NEW DAWN at TGA 2018
The other day, the annual The Game Awards 2018 ceremony took place, and it was at it that Ubisoft announced the continuation of the adventure shooter Far Cry 5 called Far Cry: New Dawn.
The sequel takes place in Hope County, Montana, seventeen years after the events of the main game. A global nuclear holocaust has destroyed the entire civilized world, throwing Hope County into complete chaos.
The game is scheduled to release on February 15, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at an estimated cost of $40. Given the release time so soon, it's safe to assume that the game engine and mechanics of Far Cry: New Dawn will be completely borrowed from Far Cry 5.
However, the developers also promise innovations like building your own base (hello Fallout 4 - ed.) and forays outside the game territory, which will be rewarded with experience points, achievements and rare equipment.
As for the plot, the player will again have to face Joseph Sid, the main antagonist of the fifth part. It's not entirely clear what role Sid will play in Far Cry: New Dawn, but there's talk of a new primary threat in the form of the Highwaymen gang, led by twin sisters Mickey and Lou.
We will continue to monitor developments and reflect everything in our future articles about this title!
