Call of Duty: Warzone has no shortage when it comes to submachine guns (SMGs), but if you're still not sure which one to pick, we'll point you in the right direction.
More than 50 million players have already taken part in the battle royale of Infinity Ward, each of whom wants to gain an advantage over others jumping out of an airplane. The SMG can be the perfect early game and melee weapon type if you know what you're doing.
Even after the dust has settled in Warzone, there's one big question that people still ask themselves when they land on the island - what are the best weapon options and what is the best choice of equipment. So we've put all of our analysis and rankings in one place for you, which should help you choose your SMG the next time you're looting.
Warzone SMG Ranking: Best Submachine Guns
7.Striker 45
The Striker 45 unfortunately ended up at the bottom of our rankings. The low rate of fire means players need to hit like never before, and when things go fast, it falls short of the alternatives. Short of nostalgia for the MW2 UMP, there's little reason to pick it over other SMGs.
This doesn't mean you can't be successful with a powerful SMG. After all, it's probably one of the few in its class that deals a decent amount of mid-range damage and has a high movement speed, but for that, you'll be better off with AR set to move speed. So, Striker 45 is probably the least favorable SMG you'll find in a Battle Royale setting.
6.AUG
The next step is the AUG, which has superior damage and magazine increase options. Fully automatic weapons thrive in terms of mobility and close combat.
Although it looks different when using the 5,56 NATO-60-conversion, find six feel-good fit for weapons ever seen in the CoD series. Worth picking if you have all the right investment, but even with a grab it still has a substantial return.
5. P90
If you are looking for a weapon with strong hipfire action, the P90 might be for you. While it could be argued that others in the Warzone SMG category offer similar attributes for this weapon, and more than that, let's not forget some of its qualities.
The P90 is a good choice if you're looking for loot in the early stages of the game because without attachments it has the most efficient bursts in the game. However, the recoil and damage per second (DPS) are a little behind - and this shows up in gunfights. However, having 50 ammo per clip is definitely useful when fighting multiple enemies at close range.
4. Uzi
Those who have played the Uzi in Modern Warfare: Multiplayer may be concerned about the slow rate of fire, not to mention its rather peppy recoil pattern.
Don't let that get in the way of the Warzone challenge, as players have already proven it can be one of the most effective weapons you can pick up. Its range is quite far for a submachine gun, meaning you can do eliminations that you might not have been able to do with some of the others already mentioned on this list.
For your gear, use a Stippled Grip to increase ADS and you might be surprised at how quickly an uzi will overwhelm fully armored opponents. The Foregrip commando and monolithic suppressor are also recommended.
3. PP-19 Bizon
It's definitely something you'll see a lot in Warzone as it's easy to control when shooting. Most importantly, it has a high ammo capacity (64) and an impressive rate of fire that is pretty much the best of both worlds for a battle royale SMG.
The Bizon is perfect for short to medium ranges and can be even smoother with a muzzle brake to stabilize it - if you're willing to forego the suppressor. If you're wondering how to reduce the recoil on a weapon, perhaps a rubber grip will help you. Throw in the Solozero Optics Mini Reflex and you'll see just how powerful this thing can be.
2.MP5
In second place in our ranking is MP5. It differs from high rate of fire to the detriment of range. Which makes it more effective at close range.
The only downside that allows MP5 to limit it for us is the slow reload time. This can indeed be a deciding factor in difficult situations, but make no mistake. The MP5 is a good choice for any player looking to get far in Warzone.
1.MP7
Topping our list is an outstanding SMG in Warzone, at least as of this writing.
The MP7 packs everything you want in a SMG, including high fire rate and good damage stats. He spits out bullets faster than all PPs and is very stable.
We were able to put him at the top of the list here, but not many would argue that he also ranks highly in the overall best weapon spm in Warzone.
