Last Oasis Announces New Volcanic Biome
Last Oasis is a nomadic survival MMO filled with new ideas and creative solutions for weary survival paths.
For those unfamiliar with the game, it is set on a post-apocalyptic Earth after a cataclysmic event halted the planet's rotation, leaving a world of ice and desert in its wake. Between these two harsh conditions, there is one habitable band of earth, moving slowly as the planet orbits the sun. A day lasts a year, and the only way to survive is to keep moving. A clever backstory is enough to set it apart from the crowd of other survival MMOs.
As shown exclusively at the Future Games Show, the next big addition to Last Oasis is a new volcanic oasis map. From cold and barren fields to hardened volcanic rocks that create natural passages and hot, red-hot lava lakes, this is a challenging terrain for any barefoot nomad. As you travel through these vast wilderness areas, you will have the chance to find ways to mine obsidian and find rare loot in the mysterious man-made ruins. You also need to watch out for the Killins: the aptly named giant winged lizards that inhabit the mountains. All in a day's work for a Last Oasis nomad.
The game combines really innovative features that allow players to travel the world in impressive and complex wooden machines called walkers, which are essential for nomads' movement and migration. They are also pretty cool. Combined with epic battles and player-driven savings to make its mark, Last Oasis is fast becoming the most entertaining survival title we've seen in years.
Last Oasis is definitely on our radar and brings something new and exciting to an otherwise oversaturated survival genre. It's an open world spectacle filled with amazing moments that can only be achieved in the realms of MMOs, and we can't wait to see where Donky Crew takes us.
