League of Legends x PUBG crossover: Arcane teaser revealed
League of Legends will debut on the animated show Arcane on November 6, but a surprise collaboration with PUBG could come after the release of a cryptic post.
This is a really great time to become a League of Legends fan as there is a ton of fresh content coming out of the community. To celebrate the release of an upcoming animated show Netflix Arcane, Riot Games is pushing for collaboration.
They're tackling Epic Games' legendary Fortnite battle royale with some LoL-themed content that's sure to be a hit.
However, it looks like the idea of battle royale crossovers won't stop at Fortnite, as PUBG could be next in line for a collaboration that some may have thought unlikely.
The first episode of Arcane will air on November 6th.
Is League of Legends heading to PUBG?
The unexpected crossover with PUBG was first revealed in a post from the Battle Royale developers on October 31, when they tweeted a mysterious image. "Our world will be invaded, but who or what?" They said.
It didn't take long for players to start putting the pieces of the puzzle together, finding out they were League of Legends characters towering over the Battle Royale map.
As many keen League of Legends fans have pointed out, Twitter user @baephine, in particular, made the connection through simple detective work. Noticing the clear resemblance of the figures' silhouettes to arcane characters, an excited fan exclaimed, "LEAGUE AND PUBG TEAM UP!!"
PUBG x League of Legends event start date
It's currently unclear how this apparent crossover will work, but some players have speculated that the LoL theme will carry over to PUBG in the form of character cosmetics and weapons.
As for the release date, it's also unknown, but with the release of Arcane on November 6th, it shouldn't be too far away.
We'll update this post as soon as more details are available, so be sure to check back again.
