The number of rumors about a potential remake of one of the parts of Metal Gear Solid has increased recently. It looks like Konami is lifting the veil.
Here's how the rumors and leaks of a Metal Gear Solid remake unfolded:
Last week, an unknown account appeared on Twitter, owned by Tom Olsen. The profile indicates that he works as a technician at Big Shell, a large refinery that was seized by terrorists in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.
The account has already published about 20 posts. In them, Olsen talks about working at the enterprise and shares “photos” - screenshots from the second part.

Every morning, we have to log in at the security office and enter our personal info. It's kind of a hassle. Good news though, it'll be my birthday soon! pic.twitter.com/wJswL46O2T

Today, the official Twitter account of the Metal Gear series suddenly responded to Olsen. On behalf of Big Shell management, he scolded the technician and said that he was expecting visitors next week. Perhaps that's when the company announces a remake of the second part.

Please check your Codec each morning for meeting updates and evacuations in-case of PMC incursions.
And we have visitors coming next week, so finish cleaning the vents and make sure the flags are all hung properly, but don't touch the C4 this time. https://t.co/u9C6yrONil
Olsen: I went downstairs to say hello to the computer department, but there's no one here. They must be in a meeting or something. Maybe next time.
Metal Gear Official: Tom, we talked about it. Please check your codec every morning for updates on encounters and evacuations in the event of a PMC incursion. We'll be having visitors next week, so finish cleaning the vents and make sure all the boxes are set correctly, but don't touch C4 this time.
Getting tired of all these Big Shell truthers. This is just a state of the art clean-up facility. https://t.co/eFOasQAICA

Olsen: I'm tired of all these Big Shell liars. It's just a state of the art sewage treatment plant.
Metal Gear Official: The PR department and the La Li Lu Le Lo team are working on public misconceptions and increased security. We appreciate everything you do to keep our global businesses running. Make sure your location is cleared for your safety and the safety of other personnel.
According to rumors, several remakes of MGS are in development at once. They are allegedly engaged in the studio Bluepoint Games.
