Genshin Impact is set to release the upcoming 3.1 update at 11am (UTC+8) on September 28, 2022. The developers will also be shutting down servers for scheduled maintenance ahead of the global launch to ensure a smooth gaming experience.
The maintenance break will begin at 6 am (UTC+8) on September 28, 2022 and will last approximately five hours. Luckily, developers tend to compensate players for server downtime, and 300 primogems are sent as a form of compensation directly to players' inboxes.

Genshin Impact officials have confirmed the release date for the upcoming 3.1 patch update in the latest live stream. The new 3.1 update will be launched worldwide on September 28, 2022 at 11am (UTC+8).

The upcoming King Deshret and the Three Wise Men patch will be a major update and will continue the current Archon quest with two new chapters.
Here's a rundown of upcoming banners that players can look forward to:
- Saino, Venti and Kandakia will take part in the first stage
- Nilu and Albedo will take part in the second stage
- Weapon banners will feature 5-star weapons such as the Staff of Scarlet Sands and the Key of Hajj-Nisut
- Weapon banners will feature new 4-star weapons - Xiphos Moonlight, Wandering Evenstar and Makhaira Aquamarine
Genshin Impact 3.1 Maintenance Schedule and Compensation Details
The launch of each version upgrade is preceded by maintenance. This maintenance period ensures that the latest update runs smoothly for all players on all supported platforms without any hassle.
While officials have not yet announced the upcoming maintenance schedule, all previous schedules started at 6am before the global launch of new patches and the same is expected to repeat. Once maintenance begins, all servers will go down and all players logged into Genshin Impact will be automatically removed from their accounts.
Players will be banned from playing the game until the servers are back online, which will take about five hours. The duration of the service may increase if there is any problem related to the server.
For all the inconvenience that players face, there is compensation from the developers in the form of free Primogems. The authors give away 60 Source Stones (Primogems) for every hour when the servers are down.
Given that the servers will be down for at least five hours, players can expect 300 gems waiting in their in-game mailbox. Users must remember to claim rewards from their mailbox within 30 days or the rewards will expire.
