How to download and install Minecraft 1.19 (Bedrock and Java Edition)
The biggest Minecraft update this year, Wild Update 1.19finally came out. Players can now explore the new Dark Dungeons biome as well as the Mangrove Swamps and more. In this article, we will guide you on how to download the Minecraft 1.19 update.
How to install Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.19.0
Mobile devices (Android/iOS)
For mobile players, the process is quite simple. You just need to go to the app store (Apple App Store for iOS/Google Play Store for Android) and access the Update section. Find Minecraft and start the update.
In addition, players can find the game page inside the store itself and click the "Update" button there. However, if for some reason these options are not available, simply reinstall the game and your device will automatically get the latest update.
Console (Xbox/PlayStation/Switch)
The update process in the console is about the same as in mobile applications. However, unlike the mobile versions of the app, which can be played without updating, players on consoles will be prompted to automatically update the game when it launches.
However, if it doesn't, you can manually install the update by going to the appropriate game store on your console and downloading the game from the Minecraft page.
PC
As with console systems, the PC version should show an auto-update prompt at startup. However, if this automatic update fails or crashes, simply uninstall the game and re-download the app from the Microsoft Store or the Mojang website.
How to install Minecraft Java Edition 1.19
Since Java and Bedrock use the same launcher on the PC, the update process should be identical. If you don't want to redownload the game, restarting the app launcher might also work.
In addition, an update is available using the official Mojang website, where players can download the update files themselves. This is useful if you want to upgrade manually instead of relying on automated processes.
The most notable changes in Minecraft 1.19
mangrove swamp
The mangrove swamp biome has finally been shown in the pre-build of Minecraft 22w14a. This is one of two new biomes in update 1.19, along with Dark Dungeons. Mangrove Swamps - A dense, muddy landscape filled with mangrove trees and mud blocks.
Mangroves are a special type of tree that only grows in flooded and muddy environments. Because of the root blocks coming out of the main trunk and touching the ground, the mangrove jungle looks very dense. The main inhabitants of this biome are frogs, a completely new type of mob that changes color depending on the temperature of the biome.
Dark Dungeons + Ancient City
This is a new structural biome that spawns in the Dark Dungeons, with different levels and open spaces. It includes all the features of the Dark Dungeons, as well as a few of its own unique items. The city mainly consists of deep slate and its varieties, basalt blocks and their varieties, boards and wool.
The most valuable part of the biome are the chests of the Dark Dungeons, which contain unique loot. These items can't be found anywhere else and provide players with unique abilities and mechanics that were previously impossible or otherwise unattainable.
