How to beat Shamura in Cult of the Lamb
Cult of the Lamb is a strange new video game that divides its time evenly between fast-paced action and occult city management. Add the charming art style and Happy Tree Friends approach to humor and players will love this unique indie game.
In their combat half, players will face the Bishops of the Old Faith. These powerful boss characters are some of the toughest challenges players will face in their game. The fourth boss of the game that guards the Silk Cradle is Spider Bishop Shamur, a menacing enemy.
Defeating Shamura the Spider Bishop in Cult of the Lamb
Cult of the Lamb has many minibosses before players can take on the final challenge. Players may encounter these powerful enemies dozens of times over their experience so it should get easier over time.
Like other bosses, Shamura has two phases and quite a few unique attacks. Both phases have a different set of death moves that players must memorize and dodge accordingly.
The first phase of the fight with Shamura:
- A drop attack that clears almost half of the arena
- A series of individual bombs fired towards the player
- Exit the arena before the dive bombing back to
- A series of jumps that send fireballs
- Spawning of small spiders
Shamura's throw attack and the last jump in a series of erratic bounces give players the opportunity to counterattack. Luckily, the bombs are slow enough to avoid one after the other, and the spider's swipe gives players enough time to dodge.
Cult of the Lamb players are also encouraged to take out Shamura's allied units as soon as they arrive. They perform a smaller version of their swing attack, making them difficult to track. After Shamura loses a significant amount of health, the boss will enter the second phase.
The second phase of the fight with Shamura:
- The attack of lunges occurs faster and with three consecutive subsequent lunges.
- Jumping fireball attack grows faster and has more jumps
- An explosion of arc-shaped blue fireballs
- Summons many more small spiders as Shamura's health drops below 30%
Stage XNUMX will make it harder for Cult of the Lamb players to find spots to deal damage. More enemies will flood the screen as Shamura approaches death and it's easy to be completely overwhelmed.
Shamura's new blue fireball attack is a godsend for players as its arc is easy to dodge and has a long cooldown. Fast players can dodge under blue fire and throw a full combo at Shamura during downtime.
When it comes to Shamura's reusable and longer jump combos, treat them the same way you did in the previous form. Although they are longer and more dangerous, players can still get a couple of hits once this series of attacks is over.
As long as players keep moving, dodging anything that crosses their path, dealing with minions, and dealing damage when they can, they will be able to defeat Shamura. Spider Bishop will be a fun encounter in every playthrough Cult of the Lamb
