During the spookiest time of the year, Overwatch fans have discovered a cute, whimsical Easter egg on the Château Guillard map that has been completely changed for Halloween.
Overwatch developers at Blizzard are taking October's biggest holiday seriously. Every year they celebrate Halloween with holiday costumes and candy with redesigned cards and new cosmetics.
This year, players have begun exploring the Halloween version of Château Guillard and have been appreciating the various changes.
Now moonlit, the sprawling French castle best known for its custom death games is also becoming known for spooky Halloween details. With the release of the 2018 event, players are still making discoveries in the Chateau Guillard version at night.
Usually people are distracted by fog and darkness, or maybe pumpkin lanterns and an underground coffin.
But heading into the red workroom, Redditor "YHJ_JYG_Kryptlock" found a neat little Overwatch Easter egg with candle wicks.
As shown in the video below, if you shoot each wick of the candelabra, the candles will briefly light up. There's nothing crazy about it, but that doesn't stop the easter egg from being a great addition to the already detailed updated map.
To find this easter egg, you first need to find the red work room.
If you are looking inside the castle from the open area with the jump pad and the statue, this room will be on the back right when you enter. If you are on the opposite end, by the first aid kit on the balcony, it will be on your left as you enter the castle.
