Genshin Impact players are furious following a leak that revealed the next free 4-star weapon for update 2.3. Fans of the role-playing game miHoYo claim that the new sword is "useless".
With each new Genshin Impact update, miHoYo likes to give away free rewards to encourage users to participate in the latest content. However, some fans are angry after data has shown what will likely be the next free weapon in the game.
According to a new leak, fans who log in during the 2.3 update in December 2021 will be able to get their hands on the four-star sword Cinnabar Spindle. However, some players are furious, calling this weapon one of the "worst" items the developer has to offer.

While it hasn't been 100% confirmed, data miners revealed in October that players will likely receive a 4-star sword. Cinnabar Spindle free in December after the completion of a special event that will take place in the Dragonspine.
The only problem is that the main stat of the sword is completely focused on defense, which most characters using this weapon do not rely on. It looks like the item is targeting the geo-character Albedo.
This makes sense given that the event is said to be hero-based. However, the niche use of the item did not sit well with some players who took to social media and forums to express their frustration.
"It's free? It is absolutely useless for everyone except Albedo,” the player reacted. The other one agreed and said "I should have just made it into a five-star sword and given away other weapons for free, it's no good for anyone but Albedo lol."
