How to Use Simple Edit in Fortnite

Fortnite Easy Editing is a new feature introduced in the all-encompassing Chapter 6 of Season 1. This samurai-themed story offers a whole host of new items, resources, and moves that can transform the gameplay experience. Among these, Epic Games has introduced a new way for players to build and edit structures in the game, making it a pretty handy tool.

Here's everything you need to know to use Simple Edit in Fortnite.

Easy Edit is a new build setting in Fortnite that allows players to edit their builds with the click of a button. Previously, players had to enter edit mode and select tiles to get the change they wanted. This was a cumbersome process and took some time, especially for new builders.

But with the introduction of Simple Edit, players can simply view the build from different angles to get the desired structure - looking at the left side of a wall will suggest an angle, while looking at the middle and interacting with it will add a window to the wall. This new system allows players to edit on the fly without entering edit mode, make changes, and commit them.

With Simple Edit in Fortnite, structures like walls can be edited to create different variations like corners, windows, and more. As for stairs, you can use Simple Edit to rotate them or add/remove a tier. On the other hand, you can modify floors and ceilings to change sections or fill in missing ones.

This new method eliminates the old format where players had to enter edit mode to reset their changes as well

Easy Edit in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 is especially useful in the middle of battles or for newcomers who are just starting to get the hang of the game's building mechanics. Epic Games has stated that since this is a relatively new feature, they will continue to collect data and make additional changes and balancing in the future to improve the player experience.
