Always get the best job
Your number one goal should always be to get promoted in the job department. You'll start at the very bottom as a toilet "cleaner" - but pretty soon that will change because the more you advance in the education department, the better.
The requirements for the next job will always increase, and if you want to get them quickly, then the fastest way is to try to earn a lot of money in order to get better clothes, transportation, and the like.
In any case, do not forget that for the best work you need to spend some time at the same workplace - at least 3 months. Therefore, even if you meet all the requirements for the next position, you still need work experience.
Check job requirements
If you want to know how to check the requirements for your next job, let me explain it because it's pretty easy! All you have to do to check the requirements is to click on the gray "Accept" button.
Even if you cannot accept the specified job, you will still be shown a list of requirements so you know what you must meet.
Get a bike ASAP
As you slowly (but steadily) progress through the game, you will notice that you will need different modes of transport. The very first available transport is the cheapest bike. Initially it will cost you 1,5k and then only 40 a month.
It's the first thing you need to get a "better" job. Try putting some of your first money into this because once you get it, you can work two jobs and make a lot more money.
Once you have received the bike, you will be able to work as a food courier. Then, after getting this job, you can work as a night watchman and earn a lot more money.
Save money when you change jobs
Something I've noticed is that when you move from two jobs (Food Courier and a second job) to a junior manager position, you make less money.
That's why, until you've completed your training, it's good to save up some money before changing it. This is if you have fairly high expenses. Otherwise, you won't even notice and you'll be promoted quickly.
Way out:
When you change jobs, you go from 1k/month to 750/month, this can be a big hit to your budget, especially if you're constantly low on cash.
So if that's the case, just work until you've saved up 2-4k cash and then switch to office work.
Keep Health and Happiness High
Health and happiness are very important in order to stay alive and work, so they are very important.
When your health gets too low, you will get sick and that's not ideal. I suggest you always try to keep your stats around 80%+ because that's a good number.
Never go below 60% because that's really bad and the chance of something bad happening to you increases.
Boost your stats starting with free boosts
At the very beginning, you should start increasing your stats using ONLY free boosts. Do this because they are free and they will get the job done if you start spamming them early on when you have little profit from your low paying jobs.
Buffs will gradually lose their effectiveness the more you use them. That's why it's good to use them - you can still afford the best ones later, so start with the cheapest first and work your way up.
So for HP you would use "Good Night's Sleep" first, then "Jog", then "Boxing or Hockey" and so on.
You can also use them randomly, but I advise you not to use them to go to 100%, because it will be a waste of time. Just keep a constant 75-80% and all is well.
Don't follow what the game suggests
From time to time, you will notice that a random finger will appear on the screen, pointing you to a task - either watch an ad or buy a pet to increase your happiness or health, and so on.
I really advise you not to always follow this, because it can end up in bankruptcy. Just move forward slowly and sooner or later you will reach the presidency.
If you want to pay attention to what the game has to offer, then I advise you not to make hasty purchases and consider if you can afford it. If you can, then you can buy whatever you want. Just remember that the game doesn't always have the best deals.
Keep track of your balance
The balance is on the left side of the screen and it shows what your monthly expenses are as well as your income. Always keep an eye on this because you don't want your expenses to exceed your monthly expenses.
Also, make sure you use the cheapest items or free items early on because they will cut costs down a lot. As long as your income is higher than your expenses, you will be fine.
Get free money!
At the bottom right of the screen, there is a button that will give you free money for watching ads. This will be very useful in the early game when 500 money is a lot.
So I suggest that once you start, you will start watching a few advertisements when you are low on money.

Don't waste money on food early
One thing every person needs is food, but in Hobo Life you can live for free, long enough. That is, at least until you start working in an office and can afford better food.
However, I suggest that you do not spend money on food until you need it. You will do well with free food if it allows you to get a well-paying job and lowers your monthly expenses.
Take into account the needs of the character
Your character will get sad blisters on their heads when they get bored with their current job, or when they want a new girlfriend or something. Basically, when you see a sad face next to your character, click on it and you will see their request.
Try to consider these requests and solve them as soon as possible, because the longer you wait, the faster your character's happiness will decrease. So just make sure you complete all their needs soon because it will definitely make a difference.
