If you happened to tune into a live broadcast of Chinese Genshin impact 1.5, you may have noticed that the pink haired character debuted during the Inazuma segment. Honkai Impact 3rd players were quick to notice that this chibi girl bears a striking resemblance to a fan-favorite character: Yae Sakura.
Yae, also known as Guuji Yae or Guuji - said character Genshin impact. She is currently not mentioned in the game, but has appeared in some official media.
Yae Sakura - electro Catalyst. The description says that she is a fox spirit (werefox), a Priestess of the Inazuma Temple, and a friend Baal.
About the character
Guuji Yae is a priestess of the Grand Narukami Shrine (poss. 
translation "Great Narukami Shrine") She was first mentioned in an official introduction. Zhong Liwhere is she, along with Shogun Raiden discuss it. She is also an "old acquaintance" of Morax and Bhaal, and knows Ganyu.
Appearance
Yae has pale purple eyes. The hair is lilac in color, fading from light on top to more pinkish. She has fox-like ears. Yae wears special traditional clothing, clearly inspired by the daily wear of temple priestesses. She has a golden accessory on her head, and a pair of earrings with purple-colored stones on her ears.
Interesting Facts
- In a New Year's tweet from the official Twitter, Yae welcomed Ayaka as the first guest to visit the temple this year.
- While the Chinese, Japanese, and French media named Yae in the representation of Zhong Li, the English official Twitter decided not to mention her name.[need clarification]
- It may be related to the Yae publishing house, since the title and the name are the same.
- Yae is referred to as a fox and appears to have inhuman ears. Therefore, it can be assumed that she is a kitsune / has family ties.
Etymology
- Yae may also be a reference to the priestess of the temple Honkai Impact 3rd, - Yae Sakura as they have quite a lot in common:
- Both have the same names.
- Title Yae, Guuji (jap. chief priest Guuji, whale. 宫司 Gōngsi) means "chief priestess".
- Yae Sakura is from Japan while Inazuma has a Japanese theme.
- Both have a fairly similar appearance.
- They have one voice actor - Mingya Du.
