About the game Resident Evil Village - Shadows of Rose
shadows of rose (シャドウズオブローズ Shadōzu obu rōzu) is a DLC story mode exclusive to Resident Evil Village: Gold Edition. It was announced at the Capcom presentation. E3 in June 2021 and will be available with the rest of the Gold Edition October 28, 2022. Game Mode is inspired by the cut addition to Story Mode village, in which the player had to briefly assume the role of Rose. Like the main game, the script for Shadows of Rose was created in collaboration between Japanese and English writers; Capcom developed the outline of the story, and writer Haris Orkin provided the English dialogue.
Synopsis
In the years following Ethan Winters' sacrifice, his daughter Rosemary survived in protective custody, but her mutant status left her as an outcast, and is perceived as a freak by other children. At the age of 16, Rose gains access to the surviving part of the Black God - mycorrhiza, which flourished in Eastern Europe - and seeks to use it to permanently suppress its powers and live its life as a human. During her attempt, her mind interacts with the Black God and she begins to see scattered memories of the people he has absorbed and archived over the centuries. During this hallucinatory experience, Rose encounters her own doppelgänger and becomes infatuated with a hallucinatory figure named "Michael" who promises to find her what she needs.
Gameplay
Unlike the rest of Gold Edition, shadows of rose while it is confirmed that it can only be played from a third person.

The battle
One of the main gameplay elements for this mode is the lack of items. Unlike Ethan and Chris in the main game, Rose only has access to a pistol with limited ammo and health items. Instead, the main means of combat is the use of Rosa's latent powers, which can be used to stun and evade enemies, as well as to destroy objects carrying objects or serving as obstacles.
Several enemies from the main game reappear in this mode, one of the additions being the "Face Eater", a Molded Enemy living in the world of consciousness in the Fungal Root has the ability to consume Rose's life force.
