In this guide to the Magu Kenki boss that came to Genshin Impact in version 1.6, we'll cover all about the new, formidable enemy, including his habitat, statistics, his weaknesses, ways to defeat him, and the drop he drops.

«Alien mechanical humanoid. Such hidden blades can only be used by creatures with a mechanical body. With a blade-like wind and steely cold, he will crush anyone who dares to disturb his peace.

Maguu Kenki has ties to Inazuma's Bakufu, who leads Electro Archon Baal. Players who defeat Magu Kenki have a chance to draw the wrath of the mighty god Inazuma, and this will be the players' first interaction with the new Archon.

Magu kenki is distinguished not only by the appearance of a samurai, which is inherent in people from Inazuma, but also by his own and very insidious attack style.

The essence of these attacks lies in his phantoms. When the boss's XP level drops below a certain point, he will enter a "Phantom Possession" state. In this attack state, Mage's kenks deal Anemo and Cryo damage, and his phantoms begin to spawn and unleash coordinated attacks.

Kenki's mage mask will automatically block any ranged attacks when he's not in melee and players will have to deal with him face to face.

When the boss is defeated, he will drop items including puppet core which players will need if they want to level up his Kazuhu, as the new 5-star swordsman Anemo uses these cores as Ascend items.

After defeating this boss, players will be able to use their Resin to purchase these items and level up the Inazuma Native as normal. With the introduction of the new region, players will have to get used to collecting these new resources and materials that drop from bosses for their new characters.
