FragPunk Stutters and Crashes on PC: Possible Fixes and Causes

Bad Guitar Studio's latest FPS project, FragPunk, doesn't require
very powerful graphics card
. However, if you are still experiencing lags and even crashes, there could be a number of reasons for this. Remember that the game is still fairly new, so any performance dips on their end will likely be fixed as patches are released in the near future.

So far, we have listed several reasons why these issues may occur, as well as several potential solutions.

Note: The methods listed here are workarounds and are not guaranteed to work in every case, but they are worth trying before Bad Guitar Studio releases official patches.

Fixing Performance Drops in FragPunk on PC

If your computer meets the minimum system requirements to run FragPunk but you're still experiencing poor performance, try restarting the game and then your computer. If the problem persists, try the following steps:

1) Update your video card drivers

If you have not downloaded and installed the latest drivers for your graphics card, this can often lead to compatibility issues. This, in turn, can lead to poor performance even during light tasks and gaming. This problem can be easily solved by downloading and installing the latest drivers for your graphics card. To do this, follow these steps:

Nvidia Users

If you have an Nvidia graphics card, you can check for updates using the Nvidia app. Follow these steps:

• Open application Nvidia.
• On the left side of the screen you will find an item Drivers. Click on it to check if there are new drivers available for your video card.
• If there are new drivers, click Download.
• Once the download is complete, install the drivers by clicking Express installation.

AMD Users

If you are on the red side, follow these steps:

• Download and open the application AMD Adrenalin Edition.
• It will automatically detect if there are any pending driver updates.
• If there is a pending update, click Download now.
• Once the download is complete, the driver will begin installing automatically.

Epic Games Store:

• Open application Epic Games Store on your PC.
• Right click on FragPunk in your library and select Management.
• Get Check, and EGS will do the rest.

3) Check and correct any overheating and poor ventilation issues

In case your PC is overheating, try to find the cause of this problem and fix it, as high temperatures lead to terrible performance while playing FragPunk. Moreover, it can also shorten the life of your PC. If there is accumulated dust on your PC case, start by cleaning it. Then, make sure all the fans are working properly. If not, install new fans.

Additionally, you also need to make sure that your case has proper air circulation. If you still have performance issues while gaming, try replacing your CPU thermal paste.
