  After eight films that have grossed nearly $5 billion worldwide, the franchise Fast & Furious now introduces its first standalone title, with Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham reprising their roles Luke Hobbs и Deckard Shaw in the movie "Fast and the Furious": Hobbs & Shaw. Ever since clumsy lawyer Hobbs (Johnson), a loyal agent of the American Diplomatic Security Service, and lawless outcast Shaw (Statham), a former military representative of the British military elite, first clashed in Furious 7 in 2015, the duo have changed their attitude towards each other when cyber-genetically enhanced anarchist Brixton (Idris Elba) gains control of an insidious bio-threat that could change humanity forever. These two sworn enemies will have to team up to defeat the only guy who can be worse than themselves. Hobbs and Shaw's explosions open a new door in Fast's universe as she strikes across the globe, from Los Angeles to London and from the toxic wasteland of Chernobyl to the lush beauty of Samoa. Directed by David Leitch (Deadpool 2) from a script by longtime Fast & Furious narrative architect Chris Morgan, the film was produced by Morgan, Johnson, Statham and Hiram Garcia. Executive producers are Kelly McCormick, Dani Garcia, Stephen Chasman, Ethan Smith and Ainsley Davis. Hobbs and Shaw enter theaters on August 2, 2019.
