Dr. Disrespect has long talked about creating a "vertical battle royale" to challenge the likes of Warzone and Apex Legends. Now this is certainly taking shape with a brand new job listing on his website.
Doc is an expert when it comes to battle royale games. Not only has he played everything from Apex Legends to Warzone, he has lived up to his motto of violence, speed and momentum on the battlefield.
But his talents go much deeper. He is also interested in game design. He helped develop the Rogue Company map and wants to team up with Riot Games to develop the map in Valorant as well. And he's obsessed with creating his own game to fight big dogs.
In 2018, he shared the details of an inventive battle royale game concept he conceived. Now, some time later, it looks like the project is completely legit, after Dr. Disrespect showed viewers a sneak peek and a newly discovered job posting.

The project under the working title Vertical BR is now looking for the head of the studio. This was announced by the streamer himself, who announced the vacancy along with the BoomTV portal.
In May 2021, fans spotted a folder called GameIdea_1 in the background of a Two-Time stream. On August 9, 2021, viewers finally worked up the courage to ask him what was inside. He hesitated at first, saying, “I don't mean to tease. Maybe I've got something in mind. I'll let you know when the time is right."
But in the end, he bent over and opened the folder, showing them what was inside. “This will be the last sneak peek,” he said before showing them some epic concept art from his game, tentatively titled “Vertical BR.”
The picture shows two sectors inside a massive building, including the engine room and a balcony above the clouds.
This is due to what he said in the past about the game revolving around a fire that starts at the bottom of a building. When players fight each other, they must also try to get up and escape using the various exit points.
Dr Disrespect game studio confirmed
On August 10, 2021, it was also revealed that Doc had placed a "Help Wanted" ad on the Champions Club website in search of a game studio head who would "conquer the gaming industry".
“The studio plans to partner with a select list of influencers and then work closely with them to launch the game of their dreams,” the job posting reads. "These game titles will either be incubated and developed OR jointly with existing indie game developers and launched as mega titles."
