Goblins - Gears

Late game

These "tanky" hero combos can win you the first few battles, but eventually you'll run out of damage sooner or later. To get heroes with damage, I recommend paying attention to Assassins or Hunters. Both of these classes deal significant amounts of damage against enemy heroes and can be hidden behind your tanks for maximum damage against the enemy.

The killers

If you already have first Bounty Hunter, it will be easier for you to combine it with other Assassins. Bounty - The Assassin itself, so it can be combined with other heroes of this class. Economic management

By the sixth or seventh round, you should already be level 5 (i.e. have 5 heroes on the board). If you're good at 4-hero combos, then maybe you shouldn't spend gold just yet. If you need to strengthen your board, then 5 gold will advance you from level 4 to 5.
Getting to level 6 requires 8 experience points, for which you need 10 gold. I usually like to wait a little while leveling up, leveling up around 10 or so.
The transition to level 7 must be done, starting from the situation on the board. It is best to raise it somewhere between 14 and 16 rounds. If your board is dominant, then don't rush to spend your gold. You can play 8 rounds at level 6 and then (at round 18) spend 10 gold to reach level 7. However, if you don't manage to win, then an early investment in experience can save the day on the board. As I've noticed, getting an early level 7 can be a game-changer after a bad start. But after that, you still need to save money for a good combination of heroes in the late game.
Reaching levels 8, 9 and 10 depends on how much gold you have. At the end of the game, every extra hero on the board can decide the outcome of the battle.

There are popular strategies based on winstreaks/loosestreaks, but I haven't mastered them yet. I think the best game plan is to build a strong 7-hero combo and then monitor the board over the next few rounds, making adjustments as needed. It's often tempting to upgrade heroes in the 2g shop to get the latest copy to level up the desired hero, but it's not worth it. It is easy to lose the entire economy without getting the right hero. In rounds 19-20, the ideal economic situation should look something like this:

How important is upgrading a hero to 3 stars?

If 2-star heroes are better than 1-star heroes, then 3-star heroes should be the most powerful! Right? Not always. I've seen players waste time trying to level up a certain hero to 3 stars and lose control of what's happening on the board. Experience shows that it is better to upgrade all the main heroes of your combination to 2 stars, and only then try to look for copies for the 3rd star. Of course, if at the beginning of the game you get 9 spears Bounty Hunter in the store, take this chance and collect a 3-star BH. But in general, it is not necessary to purposefully strive for a quick upgrade of the hero at the beginning or middle of the game.
