There are 18 Nero Research Objects (NERO) that can be found in Days Gone. They contain injectors to improve Deacon's stats. The location of research objects on the map can be marked by capturing enemy camps. In objects, you can find various audio recordings that reveal other points.
Most of them are in caves or behind cliffs that you need to jump over on a motorcycle. The caves are best viewed at night when the Freakers come out of them. To jump on a bike, you will first need to install a nitro on it. If the distance is more than usual, then the nitro will have to be improved.
Nero's Research Objects cannot be missed, and can be found after completing the game's story. It is worth noting that there are two plot points of no return. One at the end of the 3rd region and one more at the end of the 5th region. Some regions will be inaccessible until the end of the story. And after the passage of the story, they will be opened again.

Cascades (Cascade Region) Object of study Nero 1

Can be found at the end of the dark cave. We come here at night. Freakers will be inside during the day.
