Fallout 76 Beta Release Date for Xbox One, PS4, PC
Bethesda has released a new trailer confirming the release date of the upcoming beta Fallout 76. As we already knew, it will arrive on Xbox One before other platforms - the beta will begin on Xbox One on October 23rd and on October 30th for PlayStation 4 and PC.
In the beta FAQ Bethesda emphasizedthat its goal is to "stress test and exit the game", which means that the servers will be "online during the target timeframes so that we can get as many people as possible at the same time." While a specific time has yet to be confirmed, the company has said that gaming sessions can last anywhere from four to eight hours. In general, the beta version will continue almost until the start of the main version of the game.
Bethesda also said that players should expect things to go awry as the beta is not the end result of the game." “Over the course of [beta], you will likely see a bunch of issues, many of which we are aware of, and many of which are not. Our goal, with your help, is to identify and eliminate all the nuances that arise in preparation for the November start. We need all of your suggestions and feedback throughout [beta], at launch and beyond to make Fallout 76 the best experience, now and for years to come.”
To play the beta on PS4 and Xbox One, you'll need a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold membership.
The beta version will be 45 GB in size and not available for pre-download. PC users won't have to re-download the game when it officially releases, but console users will need to download the starter version. Bethesda is currently planning to transition from beta to full game."
