Boss Royce in Cyberpunk 2077 - how to win

Mission: Pickup (The Pickup).

You will encounter this boss if you complete an optional objective during The Pickup mission. You need to talk to Meredith Stout and accept a money chip from her, which can be given to the Maelstrom gang. After that, Royce will start running, but you will meet him again later during the mission near the exit of the Food Processing Plant. It is worth noting that there are several branches here that can save you from fighting the boss. For example, if you pay the Maelström gang for Flathead. Also, if you don't have the money chip (given to you by Meredith Stout) when talking to Royce, you can kill him on the spot. First, Oswald Forrest will try to damage you with melee attacks. However, when his health drops to a certain value, he will pull out a gun. It is best to use a katana in the battle with him (can be found in the restricted area leading to his office). With it, you can very easily and quickly deal with the boss.

If you don't have a katana, you can of course use melee, but on higher difficulty levels, the fight will be quite hardcore, due to the fact that he will deal a lot of damage to you with his pistol.

Matilda is a big woman who loves to make trouble. She only uses melee attacks. Due to her large size, she is quite slow, and therefore her attacks are not very difficult to dodge. The easiest way to defeat her is to shoot her firearms from a distance, dodging attacks if she gets close. For dodging, it is better to use a double crouch. Her weak spot is on her back (a glowing tech contraption). Try to shoot exactly at this point in order to defeat Matilda faster. By the way, with the help of this contraption, she can replenish health, and therefore it is not recommended to delay. You can destroy this item with just a few accurate shots. It will explode, deal a lot of damage to her and prevent her from healing. After Matilda has landed a heavy attack, she will stop for a short while. At this point, try to inflict as much damage on her as possible. Then just dodge her attacks and shoot her in the head. It is best to use automatic weapons and shotguns. Machine guns also perform well, but they will quickly run out of ammunition. Try to use weapons with different types of ammunition, including pistol, revolver, machine gun and sniper rifle. Thus, you should have enough ammo for this fight. Try not to let the boss corner you. When he does a jump kick, dodge quickly or Sandai Oda will deal a lot of damage to you. Gradually, the boss will move on to attacks with homing bullets (in these moments, hide behind covers).

We recommend that you use a revolver, assault rifle and sniper rifle in the battle with the boss, as well as stock up on different types of ammunition. First, Adam Smesher will use melee attacks against you. You need to shoot off his right hand. When he loses it, he will receive serious damage. When he loses his arm, he will start using mainly the grenade launcher, which is located behind him.

Right after he shoots you, run as the grenade will land where you are. Between his attacks, shoot the boss with a sniper rifle or machine gun. Don't get close to him. When his health drops, he will begin to summon ninjas. They are easy to deal with with frag grenades (they can dodge bullets). Go around the boss from above and kill all the enemies that are approaching you. Then start attacking Adam again. Try to shoot him a grenade launcher so that he does not use it in battle.
