Yao Yao, Al-Haytham and Hu Tao will appear with their banners in Genshin Impact 3.4. There are also rumors about the return of Ayaka, and there is information that Yao Yao will even be available for free.

Yao Yao and Al-Haytham are already an axiom!
Both Yao Yao and Al-Haytham already have gameplay confirmations right now. Since they are featured as the main explorable characters in Beta 3.4, it is logical to conclude that they are confirmed to be on the banner in this update.
All previously merged characters (with the same amount of gameplay detail as these two) have been reproduced in their respective updates. The only thing to note is that it remains to be seen what phase these characters will be introduced in.
Alhaitam is a 5 star character while Yao Yao is a 4 star character. It is currently unknown if they will be on the same banner, but most likely yes!
Free Yao Yao
Genshin Impact 3.4 will feature the third annual version of the Sea Lantern Festival. Current leaks indicate that Travelers can select a 4-star character from Li Yue for free, which happened in previous Lantern Rite events.
It is important to note that Yao Yao is a 4-star native of Li Yue, which means that players can choose her if they want to. In addition, you can choose any of the following options instead:
- Bay Doe
- Chongyun
- Ning Guang
- Xiangling
- Xingqiu
- Xin Yan
- Yanfei
- Yun Jin
Reran Hu Tao
Only Alhaitham, Hu Tao and Yaoyao (4✰) have been reliably confirmed for 3.4. If you are interested in a possible replay of Shen He / Ayaka / Ye Lan / Xiao in 3.4, please wait for more reliable information before taking it into account. While everything is debatable!
Based on past banners, Homa's staff should become available on a weapon banner that will match up with the relaunch Hu Tao.

Unconfirmed rerun rumors
Ayaka is rumored to have a relaunch in Genshin Impact 3.4. Her event and skin leaked online for this update. Typically, 5-star characters that get that much attention have a banner in the same update.
Ayaka is also one of the few 5 star characters that hasn't had a comeback in a long time. Other potential banner candidates, as we have indicated above, include:
- Shen He (Last appearance in version 2.4)
- Xiao (Last appearance in version 2.7)
- Ye Lan (he hasn't had an event wish since version 2.7)
There is no reliable evidence that any of these characters will have a banner in Genshin Impact 3.4. Travelers will just have to be patient for more leaks.
Such information is usually released a few days before the update, so you can expect more reliable leaks that will appear in early January 2023.
