Don't bother immediately optimizing your character for maximum efficiency. After all, at first it is important to just immerse yourself in the game and have fun. And then, when you become a real virtuoso, there is always time to “tuning” your character. And remember that in the world of fantasy games, even rabbits can be dangerous bosses!
Once you're finally able to take control of your character, it's important to figure out the navigation. The directions in this walkthrough will refer to the map when you press the M key. If you get lost, open the map and follow the directions in this walkthrough.

Allow him to accompany you, as this creature will be a useful ally in subsequent battles.
Get to the wheelhouse
- We meet a Githyanki woman named Laezel. She said that we could escape if we entered the ship's control room.
- We met a githyanki named Losirr. He said that we could escape if we penetrated into the ship's control room.
- We met with the intellect devourer - a minion of the illithids. He wants us to go into the ship's control room.
Keep moving forward and use the jump action to jump over the gap. On your way to the control room, you will meet Laezel, a female Githyanki warrior who can join your party as a companion.
Next you have to fight three demons. Try to lure them out and attack one first and then the others. Try to prevent your character from being surrounded by these demons. If you have magical abilities, use a familiar to help you in battle. Unlike the BG1 and BG2 games, the death of your familiar will not permanently reduce your health.
Beware that imps move quickly and have ranged attacks. If you need to restore your health, you can use capsules in the form of giant shells.
Then move on to the next nautiloid level, collecting items along the way. Please note that the version of the nautiloid in Baldur's Gate 3 is slightly different from the version in Planescape: Torment. External decks have been removed.
Rescue the captive Illithid
After finishing the battle with the demons, you will enter an area with a Shadowheart capsule. In this area you will find a control panel in the middle (X:-11 Y:-354). The text on the signs above the buttons is hidden behind the magic skill check - from left to right: "Unleash - Aggression - Destroy."
In one of the capsules you will find Shadowheart, the priestess of Shar, another possible companion in your adventure. Your character will be able to carry out different dialogue options depending on his class and race. For example, if you play as a mage, then you have a skill check available to you, if successfully passed, you will be able to open the Shadowheart capsule.
Then move on to the next area where you will find a key on a corpse (X:28 Y:-354). Once you find it, use it to open a difficult chest. In the center of the room you will see another woman trapped in the mind flayer pool (X:46 Y:-354). In the northern part of the room you will find the body of another woman (X: 63 Y: -356) with an “Otherworldly Rune”.
If you fail the skill check when initially exploring the console in the room with Shadowheart, you can use the Eldritch Rune you picked up from the body (X:63 Y:-356) in the eastern room. After receiving the rune, interact with the device next to the Shadowheart capsule.
The following dialogue options when using the rune:
- Insert the rune into the slot -> Touch the console, which will allow you to open the capsule if you pass a simple wisdom check.
Connect the nerves of the transmitter
The illithid told us to connect the nerves of the transmitter to escape from hell.
Next, go to the wheelhouse (X:-20 Y:-389). Once you reach this place, you will witness a battle. Then, after a short cutscene, you will immediately enter battle. In fact, you don't have to fight - your goal is will reach the transmitter and interact with it.
Use the dash ability to increase the distance you travel in one turn. You only have about 10 turns before you fail and have to restart a previous save. Once the transmitter is activated, the task will be completed.
