Dragon Age sequel announcement coming soon!

The Dragon Age franchise hasn't changed much since 2014, but that's about to change. BioWare's Casey Hudson says the company is gearing up to reveal more about its plans for the series in December.

"If you've followed these blogs or me and Mark Darre on Twitter, you know we're also working on some secret Dragon Age material", Hudson said on the BioWare blog. “Dragon Age is an incredibly important franchise for our studio, and we are excited to continue its legacy. Look for more on this next month (though I won't tell you where to look...)"

Link to the upcoming month is December, during which the biggest gaming event is the annual Game Awards. The event also sees a lot of debuts and announcements along with awards, so it wouldn't be surprising to see the impending Dragon Age announcement pop up there. Inquisition received the top Game of the Year award in 2014.

Dragon Age was one of two major franchises that BioWare alternated between in the last generation, the other being Mass Effect. Mass Effect made its journey into a new console generation with Mass Effect: Andromeda, but Dragon Age hasn't released a new game made exclusively for this generation.
