On this page of our guide " Ghost of Tsushima » detailed walkthrough of Act 3 "Kill Khan" .

Honor and ashes

tsushima ghost

This mission starts automatically after completing the quest " Out of darkness" . Fast travel and free roaming are currently unavailable because Jin was captured. You must successfully complete this quest in order to do the fast travel and side quests again.

Wait until it appears Kenji , since he will free Jin. In the initial part of the mission, you should focus on hiding and avoiding contact with the enemies you meet. since all your equipment has been taken from you. Next to the cell, you will find a window that will allow you to leave the prison building.

Remember that even though you have lost all your equipment, you can help yourself with concentrated ability hear, to find enemies and keep track of those characters that remain on the move. Pass the first group of enemies on the right and reach the hole in the fence. Listen to a conversation with a villager about how to get out of the castle.

Head to the gap in the wall marked with a yellow icon. Go around the new enemies on the right side. On the way, Jin must, among other things, climb the wall shown in the picture.

Go around the other enemies on the left side, sneaking behind them. This will allow you to reach the hole in the wall shown in the picture above.

tsushima ghost

After leaving the castle, you will hear an alarm - you could not prevent it. Of course, this does not mean that Jin was immediately discovered. This is information that the enemies will be more attentive and busy looking for your hero.

You still have to sneak around. Don't jump to the ground . Jump to the roof of the right building. Note that there are two ropes hanging here. You can walk across them and get to the stables without the risk of being seen by anyone.

You can get to the stable by jumping through the hole in the roof. Sneak up on the hero's horse and jump on the horse to escape. The escape scene does not contain interactive moments, and during it you will go to third act of the campaign .

You must continue your journey on foot - stay on the main road which is in the new region Kamiagata . The path will lead you to the sanctuary of Keene .

You should start making your way to this place because Jin still doesn't have any equipment. Head to the right and activate Focused Hearing regularly as there are many Mongols in the area. Many of them do not move, but there are a few exceptions to this rule. One of the enemies patrolling the area has a torch (as shown in the screenshot). Get past it by going through the ruins of one of the houses.

Keep walking around the sacred tree on the right. You will meet another opponent with a torch and just like before, wait until he starts walking in the other direction. You must get to the rocks. Climb on them and get to the base of the tree. You will find a corpse suitable for inspection.

You will find more corpses in the area. Head towards them and jump off the rocky ledges to reach a smaller path. Examine the other corpse here. Jin will soon be hit by a poisoned arrow, and unfortunately there is no way to prevent it.

Try to walk forward until you faint. Yuna saves Jin . You will wake up in a new place.

All protagonist equipment stored in the same room you just woke up in.

After collecting all the items and leaving the hut, join Yuna standing by watchtower .

Climb the stairs to the top of the watchtower and start reconnaissance. ask pagoda, visible from a distance. The heroes will choose it as their destination.

Exit the watchtower and go to the stable. You must choose a new mountain to replace the horse lost in the final part of the second act. Your choice will not affect the story in any way.

Embark on a journey with Yuna. You must get to the frozen Lake Jogaku Temple .

Get to the next reconnaissance platform. In this case, take a look at two areas on the shore of a frozen lake - a fishing camp that holds civilians, and an alarm.

This mission should be approached in a similar way to other tasks and locations where it is necessary to rescue imprisoned hostages. Try to stay hidden as long as possible - Get close to enemies or eliminate individual enemies from a distance, relying on the bow.

If Jin is discovered, some enemies will try to kill the prisoners. . Attack your enemies quickly with overhead skull icons, whether in close combat or from a distance using a bow. After securing the territory, free the peasants who were kept in the destroyed hut.

Reach the new vantage point marked by the game, from where you can see the frozen lake and the temple occupied by the Mongols. Find interactive areas to explore - a cart with red barrels and archers standing on the shore.

After the survey, go to fireworks in that area and launch them to draw the attention of your opponents.

Stay on the shore where you have reconnoitered. Wait for a large group of Mongols to approach the wagon with red barrels on the frozen lake. Then use the bow to hit one of the barrels and cause a big explosion.

After the start of the battle, you can behave in two ways:

  1. Keep shooting arrows from the shore - don't forget to hide behind large obstacles from time to time. Also, don't forget to aim at the single red barrels.
  2. Head towards your opponents and defeat them in close combat. This is the best option if you have serious problems with enemy archers.

After winning the battle, travel with Yuna to jogaku temple, in which the defeated opponents were located. You can get to the temple by climbing the rocks near the frozen waterfall shown in the picture.

A large group of Mongols reside at the top of the temple. If you feel good, you can challenge them to a duel by activating the standoff. If you prefer not to, attack them in any way you choose - since opponents are initially unaware of Jin's presence, you can use bombs.

Once the fights start, focus on the enemies shooting poison darts. Jin can get poisoned , starting to quickly lose health points. You must answer this by healing him (down arrow button).

After the darts are fired, you can shift your attention to the leader and other animals. If possible, use Ghost Stance and offensive gadgets.

Unfortunately, this is another battle in which prisoners need to be protected . Be sure to focus on the enemies marked with the skull icon. You must stop them before they kill the prisoners. Winning the battle will allow you to take control of the temple and complete the quest.

Awards for the mission : the legend grows strong (XP) - higher bonus, access to the Kamiagata region unlocked, main quest Wolves at the gate unlocked.

Wolves at the gate

tsushima ghost

You can start this mission as soon as you complete the quest " Honor and ashes" - After Jin is released from captivity and reaches the Kamiagata region. You must return to Jogaku Temple and meet Yunu who stands by the fire.

The road to the temple will take some time. Once you're nearby, find your way to the top of the mountain. Reach the campsite at the top and meet Takeshi , which should stand by a small fire. Go to the cliff and listen to another conversation with the man.

Head south again, but this time you only have to travel half the distance. Do not approach the main entrance to the fort - it is occupied by the Mongols and the main path is guarded.

Go to the small hill to the left of the fort's entrance gate. There is a small forest camp there.

Climb to the roof of the hut next to the fire. You can jump from it to the hook. Swing on the rope and jump to the interactive cliff edge. Use it to get to the top and join your allies.

Get to a small hill from which you can see the fort - you will need to scout it. Focus on the archers standing on the rocks on the left side and the large building in the center of the fort - Takeshi offers to get to its roof.

Go down the hill and head towards the archers you spotted during your reconnaissance. Attack one of them by surprise. The remaining targets must be neutralized by your allies.

You can easily surprise another enemy patrolling the buildings below. Try to get to the roof of the nearest building, as this will allow you to cross the dangerous area with ropes.

A good way to start a battle is to attack the leader shown in the picture. Performing a surprise attack on him will immediately recharge your Ghost Stance. Continue by activating the stance and use it to defeat 3 nearby enemies.

Once the battle starts, you can fight however you want - you can attack opponents who are currently fighting with your allies instead of facing them alone.

After winning the battle, join the other hunters who are set up along the main path leading to the next part of the fort.

Plan a surprise attack on the Mongol patrol . We recommend that you quickly reach the stairs leading to the roof of a large building.

Explosive arrows or bombs are ideal for attacking a patrol. Enemies will be killed or thrown off their horses. You can keep attacking them from the roof or jump off it and use the katana.

After dealing with the patrol, use the path they used and head to the unexplored parts of the fort. Get to a vantage point where you can see Toyotama bridge .

Climb the observation tower and scout terrain. At the location shown in the above screenshot, Jin notices a hwacha launcher - it would be good to take control of the launcher and use it on his enemies. There is a rocky path under the bridge.

Theoretically, you have a choice - you can launch a direct attack by running across the bridge under the supervision of the Mongols, or you can sneak under the bridge. The second option is better as it allows you to reach an unnoticed hwacha and use it.

Approach the abyss and use the hook. Thanks to this, you can reach the path under the bridge.

There are two more hooks by the cliff wall - get to them one by one and don't forget to swing before each jump. Jump to the interactive edges and then grab the top hook to climb up the wall.

Ultimately, you must reach the place shown in the picture, which is behind the Mongol-guarded area.

Keep sneaking. Along the way, you will encounter two Mongols, but they can be easily killed with stealth kills. Get to the hwacha shooter and use it . Start by targeting one of the large groups of enemies and shoot them before they spread out for maximum damage. Use the opportunity and aim at the archer standing on the nearby tower.

Sooner or later you will have to give up the launcher - Some enemies are approaching your location. Don't forget to use gadgets, change stances, and look for opportunities to activate Ghost Stance.

Go to the next part of the fort. Deal with oncoming opponents - the battle will be easier since Jin's friends have joined the battle. As always, focus on those enemies that are busy fighting your companions. Winning this battle will complete the mission.

From now on you can travel freely around the world again . This was because the capture of Fort Kaminozake had opened a passage between the regions of Toyotama and Kamiagata.

Mission Rewards: the legend grows strong (xp), quest unlocked A storm is gathering .

A storm is gathering

ghost of tsushima

This mission will be unlocked once you complete the quest " Wolves at the gate . Once again, you must return to Jogaku Temple and meet Yuna. This time the woman will be standing next to one of the temple buildings. After speaking, the action takes you to a nearby Port of Izumi where the main Mongol forces are located.

You must avoid activating the alarms from the very beginning of the mission. . Start moving towards lighthouse Jyogaku which is visible from a distance. Stay hunched over and use listening often. Along the way, you will encounter several guards. They can be easily killed with stealth attacks.

Enemies from the camp can also be attacked from behind, or you can simply sneak past them - the latter option requires you to follow the overhang line leading to the top of the tent.

Once you get close enough to the lighthouse, wait until two guards stop at the main entrance. Take advantage of the fact that they don't patrol the area and sneak into back of the lighthouse . Climb through the hole to get inside the lighthouse.

Stay on the first floor of the lighthouse and interact with the barrels - Jin will determine that they have poison in them.

Use the stairs to get to the top of the lighthouse. Fortunately, there are no enemies there.

Start reconnaissance - take a look at the rocks on the left, the empty part of the village, a hill that can serve as a good place for archers, birds flying over the harbor, and the harbor captain's estate. Listen to the conversation with Yuna to complete this quest.

Mission Rewards: The Legend grows stronger (xp), quest Heart of Dzito unlocked.

Heart of Dzito

ghost of tsushima

This quest will appear in your journal after you explore Izumi Port, which is part of the quest A storm is gathering . Meet Yuna again at jogaku temple .

The horse you have been traveling on since you reached the Kamiagata region was just a temporary horse. You can now select a "permanent" horse , that is, the one that will stay with you until the very end of the adventure. Just like in the prologue, you have 3 horses with different colors to choose from. After choosing a horse, you can choose 1 of 3 names.

Jin's new quest includes infiltrating Shimura Castle . Being an exile, he is now a "intruder" there and will be attacked.

Make a long trip south. You must get to the rock. Look at the memories. Once you return to the present, the hero can start ascending.

This part isn't very difficult, although it does involve using a grappling hook to get to the rock ledge on the other side of the falls. Keep climbing until you reach the castle wall - punch a hole to get inside.

Sneaking up and avoiding killing people is recommended, though not required. . Attacking people from the castle can negatively affect Jin's reputation. However, you shouldn't have any problems staying undetected. If necessary, you can, for example, use Wind Chimes, but this is not necessary.

You should start making your way through the garden. Follow the guards with torches . Look for tall grass and other cover along the way. Don't get ahead of the guards and don't get too close to other characters you meet along the way.

Stop following the guards as they approach the water tank. Jump into the water. Ignore the nearest island with guards and a fire. Go straight ahead instead. You must reach the rocks under the damaged bridge.

Climb the rocks and go through the fallen tree. You can jump into the abyss and catch an interactive hook in the air. Swing on the rope and jump onto the hook located at the cliff wall. Climb up to the top shelf.

Continue climbing by moving to the side and jumping to the next interactive edges. Get higher and jump towards the new hook.

Keep moving - use the grappling hook and look for interactive edges. The linear climbing route will take you to one of the castle shutters. Get inside the building.

From now on, try to use listening more often, because there is less distance between you and the guards. Exit the building and start making your way through the courtyard, staying close to the right wall. Don't get too close to the guards, especially with torches.

Go through the open gate and immediately turn left. You can climb the scaffolding and get to the top sash.

Start making your way through the room, ignoring Shimura and staying close to the right wall. Use the stairs you come across along the way. Eventually, you'll have to get to another sash - go through it to get to the bottom of the roof.

Get to a new gate that will allow you to enter a new part of the castle. Find another ladder and use it to get to the top floor of the building.

Look for two new stairs leading to the roof of the castle, but beware of one guard . You must not attack him. Watch him with listening and jump over the railing.

Enter the tower, find a hole with a ladder - go down to the lower floor. You will be at the entrance to Simura apartments .

The end goal of the mission is very simple - there are no guards in Shimura's room. Put the letter on your pillow. The scene will complete this task.

Mission rewards: the legend grows stronger(xp), unlocked quest " Eternal blue sky" .

Eternal blue sky

This mission can be obtained after completing another story quest - " Heart of Dzito" . Before starting this quest, try to develop your hero as much as possible and upgrade his equipment . Don't forget to restock on gadgets. During this quest, you will participate in many battles, including a two-phase boss fight.

Meet with Young back in jogaku temple . Before you start the mission, you can talk to other important NPCs - Norio , Ishikawa (probably twice) Kenji и Lady Masako . Finally, talk to Yuna again - you will be taken to Port of Izumi .

Fights with Mongolian soldiers begin shortly after entering fishing village . During the battle, don't forget to protect yourself from the archer's attacks. If you've unlocked Lunar Stance, use it on opponents with large shields. Fighting them from a different position can be very troublesome.

During the fight, a situation arises where Yuna falls and begins to bleed. Now here's what you should do - quickly get rid of nearby enemies or use a smoke bomb to distract them and then get close to Yuna as quickly as possible and revive her.

Some archers shoot poisonous arrows that can hurt Jin. Don't forget to heal when needed and focus on archers to avoid further damage. After the battle is over, talk to Yuna.

Start by meeting with Norio - this is a vantage point near Izumi Port. When you embark on this infiltration mission alone, it is best to avoid direct combat with the enemy. make your way and focus on getting to your destination.

In this part of the mission, you must cross a frozen river bed. When the enemies are on the move, hide in the tall bushes growing on the sides.

After leaving the river bed, keep sneaking, especially since there are many strong enemies in the area. Walking on the rooftops of buildings and the ropes connecting adjacent rooftops will help you avoid detection. The point of view you need to achieve − This is an observation tower visible from a distance.

Near the stairs leading to the observation tower, there are two guards. You can distract them with your bells or wait for an opportunity to sneak up the stairs. There is no reconnaissance section this time, as after you climb the tower, a cutscene will be activated depicting Simura and his attackers.

You must go to the manor. Along the way you will meet many Mongols. It's not necessary to attack them. , but you can catch some of them with sneak attacks. The best idea, however, is to avoid battles and run away from your opponents, as you don't want to face a wounded Khan.

You must reach the gate and squeeze through the gap. Before you do it replenish health and put on armor . Once you get to the courtyard of the mansion, you will be greeted by the boss.

Khan - first meeting

The duel with the khan begins after entering the courtyard of the mansion. It's a one on one collision , so you can fully focus on the boss.

You can't use gadgets during combat, but besides the katana you can use special melee attacks (those you've managed to unlock while playing)

The key to victory is to stay away from Khan when he uses his red attacks .

Khan first of all likes to make three big blows with his spear. However, don't get too close to him too soon. , since after three attacks he will still make a fourth red attack.

Another red boss attack starts with a simple hit. You must react early because the incoming red attack has a long range. Move away from Khan as soon as possible after you see him perform this combo.

As soon as the animation of Jin and Han fighting appears, the boss also starts to use blue attacks . We remind you that parrying blue attacks is only possible if you have acquired the skill Unyielding Sword Parry . Otherwise, treat them the same as red attacks and avoid them.

Khan is best attacked when he launches regular or blue attacks. As with the earlier bosses, you can use perfect parries (activate pressing L1 at the right moment - you need to buy this skill) to weaken the boss. However, you can also do without them. Relying on regular parries and counterattacks will just lengthen the entire fight.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to kill Khan now. The first duel ends when the boss is on the verge of death. Khan temporarily blinds the hero and escapes to his ship.

You must head to big ship moored in the harbor, because that's where the khan fled. Along the way, you will encounter regular enemies who will try to stop you.

The best idea is to avoid fights and focus on getting to the ship. The point is to avoid getting hit in order to enter the second battle with Khan with full health. You can target enemy archers and deal with them - use parries/dodges to avoid being hit by arrows.

Khan - second boss fight

The second confrontation with Khan starts after you sit down on a Mongolian ship . This encounter is very different from the first.

  1. Khan is accompanied by bodyguards. Some of them will take part in the battle from the very beginning, others will appear as the battle progresses.
  2. You can freely use all abilities and gadgets . You can use all available attacks (including Ghost Stance) and gadgets to damage the boss or his minions.
  3. The game does not show Khan's energy bar. This does not mean that the boss is less powerful. The battle will last for a while as you need to perform many successful attacks to defeat Khan.

When the first phase of the battle begins , focus on that first attack and kill standard opponents on board the ship. Unfortunately, the game will not be easy as you will have to fight enemies with shields, spears or brutes.

Don't forget to adjust Jin's position while following the target opponent. Use bombs or Kunai knives. However, don't use all the gadgets at once, as you may end up in the last part of the fight.

Khan initially stays on the upper deck, but after getting rid of most of his bodyguards, he joins the fight himself. The boss uses the same skills as during the first encounter.

  1. Avoid Khan's red attacks and remember that some of them are performed in combos.
  2. Don't forget to parry normal and blue attacks (remember that you need the Perfect Parry skill to parry blue attacks). They are divided into ordinary or ideal, which deal more damage.

It is worth recalling that the use katanas are not the only way to hurt the enemy . You can weaken Khan using sticky bombs and kunai knives, for example, and blind him using smoke bombs. This should help you stop his attacks and come back with your attacks.

Smaller enemies will appear during the fight, trying to take over you. It's best to take care of them when they show up so they don't interrupt the fight by throwing Jin off balance and exposing him to Khan's attacks.

The first stage of the battle ends with a short cutscene depicting the khan knocked off balance.

On the second phase of the battle approaching new Mongol troops. You must resume attacking standard enemies. A group of archers will appear on the upper deck. It is recommended to attack them with a bow - aim directly at the archers or at the red barrels nearby.

When you fight standard enemies, stay away from Khan so that the boss does not interrupt your actions and does not participate in his own attacks.

The second phase of the encounter ends when you have sufficiently weakened the Khan. Look for the option to press Triangle after the button icon appears on the screen (as shown in the picture above). Jin launches an attack that destroys the boss' spear.

On the the third stage of the battle Khan will arm himself with his sword. The boss can set his weapon on fire, which means additional dodges must be performed in response to the boss's red attacks. If you catch fire, roll fast so you don't lose health points.

As in the previous two phases of the battle, new enemies will appear on the main deck of the ship. First, find and kill the new archers, as they will include opponents capable of firing fire and poison arrows. In case of poisoning, quickly replenish your health.

Fight until a new cut-scene is triggered, depicting the boss being knocked off balance. Khan will get tired and stop his attacks. This is the opportunity to finally defeat the boss . Approach him and press Triangle a few times to remove his sword and shield.

The last attack of the katana will stab the boss in the chest. Jin then kills Han by decapitating him.

After you regain control of Jin, you will be on horseback and traveling with Yuna. As always, the dialog options chosen do not play a significant role. You will soon reach the point where the mission will end.

Mission rewards: legend increase (xp), quest "The Story of Lord Shimura" unlocked.

Shimura's Story

ghost of tsushima

The last main mission appears after completing the main quest " Eternal blue sky" - After defeating Khan and capturing the port of Izumi. You learn from Yuna that Shimura wants to meet Jin.

Go to Omi village, and then take a short trip to old circle of duels . You know this place from your memories - it's next to Lake Omi. Once you reach your destination, find a place where Jin can sit and wait for Lord Shimura to arrive.

You probably noticed that Jin changed his outfit - that's part of the story. You also can't use gadgets and weapons other than katana for the duration of the quest. Get on your horse and start your journey with Lord Shimura .

Along the way, you will meet a villager. Interact with the van to help push it - hold R2 and then keep pressing X.

Restart your journey - this time the destination will be Sakai family cemetery . You must compose a haiku - select interactive areas from your environment to form different parts of the poem. Your choice is not important. Jin will just read the poem.

Honorable duel time with final boss Lord Shimura .

You can fight Mr. Shimura only with his katana. Remember that you can use all of your combat moves. However, you cannot use gadgets or ranged weapons.

Shimura is the best katana user among all the bosses you have faced so far. Regardless, this fight won't be extremely difficult.

Regular katana attacks, performed by Shimura are the easiest to parry/dodge. Unfortunately, he rarely uses them.

The boss also uses single blue attack, such as a katana strike. Remember that you can only parry blue attacks when you have acquired the skill Unyielding Sword Parry . Otherwise, you will have to avoid them.

The biggest threat is, of course, red attacks Lord Shimura. You must dodge or avoid them while rolling.

Boss combos can cause most problems. Lord Shimura mainly uses two combinations:

  1. 3x red attack He telegraphs this combination and Shimura briefly recognizes his katana.
  2. 2x red attack + 1x blue attack - After dodging/throwing twice, you can either risk and try to parry the blue attack or avoid all 3 attacks.

Remember that you activate perfect parry , pressing L1 at the last moment, and perfect evasions , pressing Circle before the attack hits you. Both of these mechanics require you to master the right techniques.

Perfect Parry or Perfect Dodge will cause slow motion for a short time. This will help you go on the offensive and deplete many of Shimura's health points. This will make the fight shorter.

The duel with Shimura ends when you deplete all of his health points. Now you have to decide on the fate of the main character uncle.

The game will offer two options - you can kill Shimura by pressing L2, or spare Shimura by pressing R2. You must confirm your decision by pressing X. Whichever option you choose, the game will end. Watch the video and end credits. This ends the last main quest.

Mission Rewards: Legend increased (xp) - bigger bonus, new dyes.

Can I continue playing after completing the main storyline?

Yes, you can play Ghost of Tsushima after completing all main missions, regardless of your decision regarding Shimura .

When the end credits are over, the action will move to Jin's new hideout in Yumi. Listen to the conversation with Yuna and you can continue your free journey through Tsushima. You can pursue the remaining side quests or find new secrets and locations.
