Fortnite update v10. 20 is on the way, and with it comes the confirmed Armorosphere element, and a new beacon has been activated in the desert, which could mean big map changes are coming soon.
The next Fortnite patch looks like it's going to be pretty big as we know there's a lot of new content on the way, as always.
With the Desert Beacon turned on today and the Armored Sphere also appearing in the game's news feed, it looks like Epic Games is about to make good on their promise (once again) that no two days in Season 10 will be the same.
Fortnite 10.20 release date and time
The Fortnite Twitter account has revealed that the patch will go live on August 27 with the downtime starting at 4am EST/1am PT/9am BST.
As far as what's happening with this update, there are some things that are showing up a lot on the maps.

What to expect from the Fortnite v10. twenty
Lighthouse at the Truck Stop
A new Rift beacon has appeared in the Fortnite desert, and this indicates that changes will be coming with the next update.
Previous lighthouses have completely rebuilt the area they spawned in, such as a soccer field getting a massive crater.
It's still a mystery what the new location will be, so we'll just have to wait for an update to see what happens, but there's a good chance we might be able to see one of the old points of interest return to its place.
Return of the Misty Swamp?
MistyMire has been where Fortnite's desert location currently resides and is coming with a season theme, here's how it could be making a comeback.
A new place called Wet Palms has been hinted at, which will be a hodgepodge of Lush Palms and Wet, so it really is the best of both worlds.
New element Armored sphere
The in-game news section has been updated to reveal that the Brongesphere will also be coming with this update.
“This is one bubble that is not easy to burst. Protect yourself from projectiles with this protective dome,” reads its description, which doesn’t leave too much to the imagination, but which I can imagine would be an effective defense against B.R.U.T.
The mech is capable of unleashing a barrage of missiles, so a quick way to defend yourself will be the key to turning the tides of combat.
