You will be able to continue the game after installing the updated client. For a more comfortable download of update files, we recommend using Wi-Fi.

During maintenance, it will be impossible to enter the game. Please choose your time to play in such a way as to avoid disappointment. We thank all Travelers for their understanding.

The update time may be changed according to the circumstances. We ask the players to focus on the actual situation when entering the game.

 How to update the client 

PC: Close the game, launch the Genshin Impact Launcher and click Update.
iOS: Go to the App Store and update the game.
Android: Log into the game and follow the instructions on the pop-up window, or update the game via Google Play.
PS4: From the home screen, select Genshin Impact, press the OPTIONS button on your controller, and then select Check for Update.
If you are having difficulty updating the game, please contact support. We will try to help you as soon as possible.

 Compensation

(For each hour of maintenance, the compensation is 60 Source Stones. If the server opens earlier, the compensation amount will not change.)

Within 5 hours after the end of maintenance, you will receive an in-game email from the developers with compensation. Please log into the game and claim your reward before the end of version 1.4. The letter will be valid for 30 days. Don't forget to claim your rewards before the deadline.

4. New system
Added a new system "Meetings".
◆ After updating to version 1.4, a new "Meetings" system will open. After reaching the required Adventure Rank and completing the respective quests, Adventurers can use Legend Keys to unlock encounters with Barbara, Noelle, Chun Yun, and Bennet. (Each encounter requires two Legend Keys to unlock)
Legend Quests are unlocked at Adventure Rank 26. The Legend Key can be obtained by completing daily quests. Complete 8 daily quests to get one key.

5. New plot
New task of the Archons
◇ Miss Lan and Gan Yu tell you that the Mondstadt Treasure Reavers and Li Yue gangs are teaming up to loot some ruins associated with the Order of the Abyss. Worried about how much chaos their meddling in the affairs of the Abyss could cause, you take on this errand...

Regardless of whether you lowered or restored the level of the world, after that you will not be able to re-adjust the level for 24 hours;
After reaching Adventure Rank 60, all adventure experience will be converted into mora in a certain proportion (1 adventure experience point = 10 mora);
Introductory pages with information about new events / new content will be reduced on mobile devices;

7. Changes and improvements
● System
Twisted Abyss
After the completion of version 1.4, starting with the first shift of Blessing of the Void, the two phases of the moon of Blessing of the Void will be updated as follows:
○ First Phase: Windy Moon
Characters have a Wind Aura that increases their attack power by up to 60%. Each enemy that enters the aura reduces their attack power bonus by 25%. If there are 4 or more enemies within the aura, this effect will no longer grant the attack power bonus.
○ Second Phase: Sky Moon
Hitting an enemy with a falling attack lowers their defense by 40% for 10 seconds.
* The reset days for the Twisted Abyss and Blessing of the Abyss remain unchanged, being the first and sixteenth of each month, respectively.
Optimized thick resin limit: you can have up to five units of thick resin at the same time;
Improved item drop sorting order: higher quality items will be sorted first;
Improved cooking system: after unlocking the automatic cooking of a dish, it will be possible to select a manual cooking method;
Improved tests of the Twisted Abyss: you can restart the test at the level, in the Squad menu you can see the effect of blessings, when you enter the next level, you can also leave the test;
During cooking / alchemy / forging, the character selected last time will be remembered;
Improved Xiao's facial expressions when using his elemental skill;
Improved visual interaction with other players and NPCs in multiplayer mode;
Improved camera view switching in some dungeons and quests;
Improved the Resin replenishment menu. Travelers can find out the current amount of Weak Resin and choose items to add with great comfort;
During the first loading of the game client on mobile platforms, by default, only the audio package corresponding to the system language will be loaded (for example, if the system language is Simplified Chinese, then only the corresponding Chinese audio package will be loaded); during the update of the game client on the mobile platform, only the audio package corresponding to the system language and the currently used audio package will be updated (for example, if the system language is Simplified Chinese, and the English audio package is used, then both audio packages will be updated simultaneously);
In the game, Travelers can select and download other audio packs.

● Audio
Changed the voice actor for the character Amber in Chinese;
Adjusted Chinese and Japanese voiceovers for some characters;
Corrected the voice acting of some NPC characters in English;
Added Chinese voiceover for some characters;
Added voicing of dialogues in the fight against the oceanid and voicing of some creatures of clear waters;
Improved voicing effects for some character skills and environments;
Adjusted the voice acting of characters when they get hit;

● Other
Adjusted the appearance of the Rosary character;
Fixed an issue where some characters could instantly jump and perform a jump attack after attacking a target and missing.
